The exterior of all the buildings have been maintained to the era they were built. Retailers and restaurants could renovate the interior but not change the exterior which was fun to see a Victoria Secret's shop in an old building! Blocks of high end stores mixed with nice restaurants. A nice eclectic area to visit. I don't like shopping but I did enjoy strolling the area.

Fun shops and restaurants all along King St. As you get down towards Broad St there are more and more antique shops and galleries. A little bit of everything.

Great collection of shopping best ages 30-65. Great atmosphere. All sales staff were friendly and went out of their way to assist us.

Did not know what to expect before visiting Charleston. I knew it was an older city in the USA but it was very beautiful and has lots of character. I only went for the day but you could spend a few days here exploring the all the city has to offer. We did not eat in the city but all the restaurants looked very nice and very busy , some with people queuing to get in. It must have been good.

This is the place to do your higher end shopping. There are a variety of stores from Banana Republic to Louis Vuitton.
