“Truly Gourmet”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

We started with salads: the unique kale caesar salad and the chopped salad were both very well done. The presentation and the quality of the lamb chops and the WG Carbonara (ravioli with goat cheese and lemon) were first rate. Service was professional and nicely timed. The wine list offered reasonably priced wines by the glass. The atmosphere in the room did not live up to the quality of the food, but I'll take gourmet food over atmosphere any day. Highly recommended.

“Food excellent!”
Reviewed 12 June 2014

It's downtown pricing, but the food was great! Drinks were all $12 each - the only downside. Service good, location couldn't be better and there's parking right on the same street. They'll stamp your parking ticket and it's free (2 hour limit I believe).
Had the chicken and waffle sandwich with sweet potato fries and pulled pork Cuban sandwich with kale slaw... All excellent. We shared an appetizer of shrimp & peach hush puppies- very yummy!
Maybe it was our selection but our drinks were just ho hum, even though $12.

“Great location for the Spoleto Festival”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

Wentworth Grill is a great location for most of the Spoleto festival venues, and is highly recommended for that. The food and its presentation is good, with a couple of outstanding selections. Service was excellent and attentive. The wine list is very basic, but reasonably priced. While located in a hotel, it is better than expected for a hotel venue.

“Well, we tried.”
Reviewed 1 May 2014

Beautiful room and so much potential. First, I must say the lamb chops were to die for. That is where the positive ends in this review. We had the shrimp & grits, (a tomatoey mess), the filet Mignon (awash in a poor tasting steak sauce reminiscent of Heinz 57) and poor quality meat. The staff was not knowledgeable and seemed especially exasperated at my 3rd question of the evening: "Where is the pork belly with the scallops, how is that prepared" - she replies "together, you know" - "The bread is delicious, is it restaurant made?" -"no", and the one that threw her over the top and elicited an exasperated sigh "What type of cheesecake is it" "Just normal" she says. Our meal for 3 was over $170 and this was with out tip, no appetizers and no desserts, no salads, Just 3 meals and 4 glasses of wine! For that price, I will go elsewhere. Which is really too bad.

“Easter brunch”
Reviewed 22 April 2014

We went for Easter brunch. The choices were sufficient. It was confusing that eggs had to be ordered at the table and brought to you when everything else was a buffet.
