Just got back from 4 wonderful days at the Embassy Suites Historic Charleston. We have stayed at this property in the past, and it was just as good as ever. In fact, my 7 year old daughter exclaimed "This is the best hotel ever!" Happy hours were well run and breakfast, particularly the cooked to order omelets were spectacular. Our room was clean, well maintained and extremely comfortable. When in Charleston, I highly recommend staying at the Embassy Suites !

Room Tip: Front desk staff is very friendly and accomodating - just ask!

This was a great place to stay! Every staff member we were in contact with was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were great, the (free!) breakfast was great, and the manager's drink/appetizer reception was a relaxing way to transition from sightseeing to diiner. The ONLY thing I would recommend is to at least put a bench outside somewhere for your smoking customers (yes you do have them) to have a place to sit.

The Embassy Suites Hotel in Historic Charleston is a very nice property. It is well located only about 6 blocks from the active historic area. It is almost adjacent to the Charleston Visitor Center. It is an old building that has been very well-restored. The rooms are large and pleasant. It is well-cared for and the staff is very accomodating and friendly. The included cooked-to-order breakfast and free nightly manager's reception are nice bonuses. Parking is quite convenient in a 24-hour city ramp across a side street and the free trolly runs right past the front of the property.

There is a lot to like about this location and it adds to the pleasure of visiting this charming city!

What made this hotel great was the hospitality. The front desk staff (Brandon) was superb. His recommendations on where to eat (we wanted REAL Southern food) was spot on! He was very accommodating in booking us an additional, unplanned night, and helped to make our stay even better.

The following day, the concierge also went above and beyond, helping us again find an authentic eatery in the local area, as well as advice on where to shop. The selection of stores in the immediate area is outstanding and the city boasts all major brands and high-end fashion wants. There were so many historic sights within walking distance and would definitely stay there again!
