Good location and service, except parking overflow Saturday night when I had to park outside the secure parking lot. The room was nice, bed comfortable, and complimentary breakfast good. I was pleased with my stay at this Hampton Inn.

After a long drive headed to Florida, we decided to get away from the freeway and stay in town. What a great decision to pick Columbia, SC. This hotel was one of the nicest places we have stayed. The location is wonderful, right in the heart of historic Columbia, full of great restaurants and alive with people. The room was comfortable and the staff friendly and very helpful. We love the beds and linens at Hampton, especially because the duvet covers are washed daily.

We were there for a week-end wedding. The experience was really nice. Everything was first class from the rooms to a great staff of friendly and helpful people. We had a problem at check-in which was quickly straightened out in a matter of minutes by one of the most guest friendly staffs of any hotel I've ever stayed in. Allan was especially helpful.

Room Tip: "A higher floor is probably better, gets you away from the noise of the street"

My husband and I wanted to stay at a downtown location so that we could tour the area. After spending the whole day at the Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens on Thursday we were exhausted.
The young lady that answered our call was very helpful and attentive. We decided to look no further and drove directly to the hotel. Check in was easy and they waived the parking fee for us. The room was clean and neat. There was a little staining or glue on the wallpaper in the bathroom but everything else was up to par. These bathrooms have FANS! So many hotels that we have been in lately have no fan to take out the shower moisture and it makes it uncomfortable for the next person. Our room was right around the corner from the elevators and also faced the main street (Gervais). We worried that the noise may keep us up at night but it really was not a problem at all. After resting up, we decided to check out the area. Lots to see and do in Columbia! State House, Riverwalk, Shops, Restaurants, Museums, Antiques!

This hotel is conveniently located in downtown Columbia, near government buildings, the university, and restaurants. Over one dozen restaurants are less than 2 blocks away. The hotel is immaculate, and the staff is very friendly, helpful, and courteous. Parking is $12/night, not bad by today's standard. Rooms are large and clean. This hotel is as convenient as the nearby Hilton and $20 - $60 per night less expensive. We would come back on our next trip to Columbia.
