“Outstanding films projected in a classic manner”
Reviewed 24 July 2013

Some wonderful classics projected on one screen! There is pop corn and there are beverages. Not too many people and some comfortable chairs. Classics like Casablanca or Chinatown as well as recent films like the Lady with the Dragon Tatoo. Fun!

“An Art House to be proud of!”
Reviewed 4 July 2013

The old theater had seats which were thinly disguised racks left over from the Inquisition. After about half an hour it was difficult to find a comfortable position. The new theater is by comparison, sublime! Comfortable stadium seating, concessions that include their great popcorn, beer, wine and draft cider along with the usual soft drinks. In terms of art house film, its the only game in town and they know how to do it right!

“We so liked the Old Nick”
Reviewed 9 June 2013

We have been members of the "Nick" for years and have enjoyed their selection of films. Like everyone else, we waited with great anticipation for the new theater to open. Then when it came, we were greatly disappointed. Yes, the seats, are more comfortable and they have cup holders. Yes, the theater is larger and sloped so little folks like me can see better. But it is poorly designed. There is no aisle behind the back row and given the exits are all on one side, you have to either walk in front of the theater, or in front of every one on your row, should you need to excuse yourself during a show. (This was true in the old theater - but that was the old theater.) I do not even want to think about exiting from the far top corner during a fire.(The old theater had a back exit.) I pine for the old Nick, with the old chairs, the old bathrooms, - at least we knew what we had. All their teasing for years about the latest and greatest we could expect was smoke and mirrors as far as we're concerned.

“Great programs offered”
Reviewed 19 April 2013

We recently visited the Nickelodeon for their free showing of the Mad Men premiere and had a great time. We got some affordable popcorn and beverages, which were a nice change from the exhorbitant prices you normally pay at a traditional movie theater - plus you know it's going to a good cause because it's a non-profit theater (and the popcorn is pretty awesome - little to no butter but lots of natural salt, yum!). The staff were super welcoming, and I really appreciate them offering up a free program to community members. The theater really is an asset to the community by showing educational programming and being involved with lots of other community events. Check out the Nick for an unconventional date night and support this awesome part of the community!

“The new Nick, sorta”
Reviewed 9 April 2013

I had never been to the Nickelodeon before. My girlfriends and I went to see Silver Lining's Playbook with Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence. It took us a while to find it and had to turn around a few times because they do not have a visible sign. Located next to Mast General Store, we saw what looked like a ticket booth of an older era and sure enough we had found it! Very nostalgic with a modern twist, clean and convenient. I can't wait to see another movie here! Did I mention how clean the bathrooms were?
