Had lunch at the Rivertown Bistro on an early May Friday afternoon. Restaurant was recommended by a bartender in Myrtle Beach. We were more than impressed. Venue was inviting (we were seated on the second floor), service was professional and informative and the food was amazing.

We were told the vegetables are local...based on their taste I have no doubt. Food preparation is of the quality delivered by a four star restaurant.

We had Lowcountry Spring Rolls for an appetizer (chicken, spinach, tasso ham, cheddar and jack cheese, fried and served with honey dijon), for our main lunch we had the Bistro Wrap (grilled chicken, pear, sautéed onion, blue cheese dressing, spinach tortilla) and the Seafood Burrito which included Charleston red rice and succotash.

Next time we're in the area...actually the next time we're within 50 miles, we'll be back!

We had never heard of this place before, but saw a billboard/ad for it and decide to give it a try. Good thing we did because it is probably one of the best restaurants in the area!
Internally, the structure is large and decorated very well- modern and classy.
The menu gives you plenty to choose from...hard choices too! My table started off with the chopped salad and the beet and fried goat cheese salad. Both were great, though I would have preferred more beets on the salad. Bread they serve is excellent as well.
From there, we got the trout special, the filet and the local vegetarian plate. The filet was cooked perfectly, as was the trout. Both had interesting sides and sauces and portions were good, but not too much. The vegetarian plate was good but not great. (Never seems to be well-thought out like the meat dishes.) personally I thought it could use a starch. I got a side of the jalapeño grit cake and that made a perfect meal.
For dessert we tried the coffee tower (so-so) and the sour cream pound cake (amazing!!!!!!!!).
Service was nice, quick and informative about the dishes. The check for 3 salads, 3 mains, 2 desserts and one drink was about 110. More than some other restaurants in the area, but totally worth it for the quality of the food.

This restaurant is just like many I used to frequent in NYC. It's interior is slick and modern without being cold. The people are inviting and the food is awesome!

Rivertown Bistro is the "go to" place to eat in Conway for upscale dining. The restaurant has a lively if small bar area, dining on two levels, outdoor balcony dining when the weather permits, and an open kitchen where you can watch the chefs work. The only downside is that, because of the openness of the set up, it can be quite noisy when busy (most of the time). The menu has a wide variety of meats, although somewhat heavy to seafood dishes. They also have a sushi bar.
Any time you visit, you must have the Low Country Springroll starter----chicken, spinach, tasso ham, cheddar and jack cheeses, fried to a crispy finish and served with honey dijon sauce. My favorite entree, although all I have tried have been good, is the Lobster, shrimp, and scallop au gratin dish served with a fried zucchini boat and mashed potatoes.
