The Inn itself is nice enough as well as the location. However, as we have stayed at many Bread and Breakfast Inn's. The Hospitality was lacking.....apparently the management is from "up North" and recently took over.
There was no Wine and Cheese reception (as we had read there would be) and no apology for that.....and the "Southern breakfast" wasn't even served till 9:30am....we missed a lot of site seeing do to this. There we NO GRITS......nor could you get coffee earlier. Very stark and not warm as we have experienced in other Southern Inns. Way over priced!!!!! Would not recommend nor stay there again!

A very nice B&B in an old historic home on Front Street in the Georgetown, SC, historic district. The room was nice. The bed was very comfortable, but high (steps were provided for my 5'3" wife!). Doors open onto a nice side balcony shared with the neighboring room. Breakfasts were delicious, but my only complaint is that breakfast isn't served until 9:30 am!!! The morning is over half gone by the time breakfast is done.
The location is ideal--it's an easy walk to many excellent restaurants, the Harborwalk, and historic homes and museums. Georgetown is very convenient to Pawley's Island.

The Inn is in walking distance to everything. It's very nice, clean and quiet. We had a room with a veranda and worth the extra money. The Inn Keeper accommodated our special diet with a beautiful spread for afternoon appetizers including wine. And again at breakfast, made the special effort for our diet and everything was so adorable and very delicious... she even had us in the beautiful private Sun Room... Very romantic. The only thing missing is a 24 hour mini refreshment center/refrigerator for guest such as bottled water, sodas, juice, etc.

I stayed here for work purposes a few months ago. The Innkeeper was brand new and she made us feel right at home. The snacks and breakfast were superb. She even made homemade crackers! It's a great way to experience Georgetown, right in the heart of the downtown/Front Street area. It's a beautifully updated and decorated historic home. I believe a doctor who used to work for the Baruch's at Hobcaw (also a must see place if you love history/outdoors) used to live there. I'm not a big B&B person, so I make sure to brag on those who do it right!

Room Tip: All of the rooms were beautiful!

We own Amphibian Air of Savannah GA and had a terrific one night stay at the Keith House. We were visiting Georgetown to find new places to take people flying and enjoy a short R&R. Our Innkeepers, Josie and Scott were excellent hosts. Warm, friendly, and an attitude on life we can appreciate and share. From their advice on a great place to eat to the cleanliness of the whole inn our stay was just what we needed. The breakfast was beautiful and delicious. The closeness of Harbor Walk made it easy to shop/dine/sightsee without driving. Yes, Georgetown is an old industrial city but our winds were favorable and the old plants/factories had a beauty unto themselves. Flying the area in our amphibious trike all the way to the coast and over the city was spectacular. Josie and Scott even joined us for our sunrise flight and we had a blast. Thanks and we'll be back. Dave & Miss Lou

Room Tip: The Lafayette room was superb. The balcony was very enjoyable.

This b&b very nice overall, but please keep in mind Georgetown is a little industrial. I believe it is a paper mill. Way too close to enjoy the view and be prepared for the smell around town. The shopping in town was good and many restaurants to choose from. The lights at Brookgreen Gardens were the reason for the trip.

We stayed one night in Georgetown on way from Myrtle Beach to Charleston. The Inn was very clean and the person who lived downstairs was very friendly. However we were a little disappointed with the breakfast. The sausage was over cooked and the cinnamon rolls were not homemade and were a little under cooked. I'm retired military and was told I would get a 10% discount, but were charged the full amount.

The Keith House Inn honors those Americans that are serving and have served in the military. We will always gladly honor the 10% military discount for those people with an armed service background and upon realizing that the discount was accidentally not given to our guest "Charles T", we proceeded to credit his card account with the appropriate military discount and sent an email to him stating so. God Bless America and those who defend us!
