This is one of the coolest restaurants I've been to. The ambiance is low key and relaxed. They have a wide variety of different fancy beers. To be honest I prefer standard lagers to what the trappe door has on tap but others might find the beer to be the highlight. The service was great. And really who cares about all of this bc on Tuesday nights it's all you can eat mussels. They have all different broths ranging from standard meunière to pesto, blue cheese to mole. And they are all amazing. I loved the pesto broth the most. They bring you a pound of mussels with French fries and three flavored mayonaises. Absolutely delicious!!!!! Each time you ask for more mussels you can select a different broth. My husband and son both had steak which they thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend this place and will be returning the next time we visit greenville.

Hubby & I went to The Trappe Door for date night. We enjoyed our food, and want to return to try more dishes on the menu sooner than later. Service and atmosphere even outshined the food! Our experience had a touch of unique and was not run of the mill. We simply had fun!

Located in a great, easy access area, the restaurant features good food and a huge wine and beer selection. The specials sounded delicious, and the service was friendly. The menu could be for anyone, from appetizers to small plates, sandwiches, and larger entrees. Desserts are unique. We enjoyed our meal. It does get very crowded, so go early.

We had dinner there on a Sunday night,. not too busy and we were seated right away. Wines were half-price on Sundays, but our selected bottle was "not available". We had the mussels and fries which were good, but the other dish the Waterzooi was a shameful offering of 5 shrimps, 1 scallop, 3 mussels and a few diced potatoes in a little bit of "potato" broth (not really what I remember of how a waterzooi should be)
Service though was excellent which made up for the disappointing food, and also the dessert Lemon Crepes were delicious !
