We made a special detour through Greenville just to see this museum and we are very happy that we did. My 9 year old son and 8 year old daughter loved it - it helps that my son had read about the famous "Shoeless Joe" so he was able to appreciate a lot of the story. Our guide, Arlene, was wonderful. She's truly passionate about Greenville's history and the life of Mr. Jackson. They opened the museum just for us - if you email them directly they can accommodate a private tour. We loved having the museum all to ourselves. And I especially enjoyed the original decor of the bathroom and kitchen. The City of Greenville did right by their most famous resident - and he would be happy. And they have a great little gift shop inside as well - bring cash (no credit cards) and don't forget to leave a donation (as the entrance is free). You'll be glad you went.
