Larkin's on the River is a fabulous restaurant -- my favorite in all of Greenville.
Unfortunately, our party of 4 experienced a glitch in our reservation through OpenTable wherein we requested an outside table at Larkins' on the River, as we wanted to sit outside to listen to the Edwin McCain concert on the TD Stage while having dinner. The restaurant called me the day of the concert to inform me that we were not going to get an outside table as they were booked, so we would have to sit indoors. Since our party wanted to sit outside to listen to the concert, we canceled our reservation.
I then sent an email to the General Manager (Bruce Wise) about the issue so he knew what had happened, as we were extremely disappointed (since we had made our reservation 6 WEEKS earlier through OpenTable). To my surprise, Mr. Wise quickly called me, explained what had happened (the restaurant does not always see the requests put into OpenTable reservations), and offered to add a table on the patio for us to ensure we were able to still come in and enjoy our evening as we had hoped/planned.
When we got to the restaurant, the patio was full, except for 2 available tables -- one for 4 people (up against the building), and one for 6 people (out in the middle of the patio). To our surprise, we were given the table for 6 -- so we had a great view of the concert, amazing space for a party of 4, superb service from the waitstaff, and outstanding food.
Thank you, Mr. Bruce Wise, for your amazing customer service. We appreciate what you did for us, and want you to know that we really appreciate it! Larkin's on the River continues to provide the best of everything! Thank you again.
