I've been going to the Dixie since the 70s and remember Pete and Perry, the original owners, like it was yesterday. The new owners are not too friendly (at all) so thank goodness Gary is still there. The burgers have long since gone downhill but the 1/2 and 1/2 is worth whatever they're charging these days.Their sodas are the best in town with the crushed ice. That cole slaw is pretty good too. Whenever I'm in town (once a year) I have to have lunch there just to hear the servers call out "Dixie cheese 1/2 and 1/2!"
