Visited the Great Bay Oyster House on a Saturday night. Atmosphere was nice, with a couple of dining areas and an attractive menu. House oyster is the apalachicola (FL panhandle), which has a great reputation. General impression of the oysters served, however, was not good: the peck was not cleaned well. Moreover, there were way too many hitchhikers served with the actual oysters, and the several gapers (4-5 of our 25) were filled with mud. It suggests to me that the restaurant doesn't really know how to select or prepare its namesake item. Service was not very attentive, and when our second course was delivered incorrectly, we decided to end the meal and move on. Drink menu was broad in beer and cocktails, but could not overcome the poor food or lackluster service. Overall, a real disappointment!
