We are regulars at Choice Hotels and have stayed happily at many Sleep Inns, including another one on this same road trip. We stopped here due to being tired and seeing a $49.95 electronic sign outside this hotel. (We paid that at a beautiful Sleep Inn in Florida.) Turns out I missed the "from" on the sign and the only room at that price was a one double bed handicapped room. Rather than be baited and switched, we took the room. A person in a wheelchair would have had a very hard time existing in this very small room. This was the only room we've ever rented that only had a night stand on one side of the bed. On top of that my Choice account details were entered incorrectly and we did not receive our points for the stay. One and done for this location which seemed to be an older building with a Sleep Inn facade added on the exterior.

Room Tip: If you are handicapped, this one double bed room will not be comfortable.

Don't expect much or what's advertised, and you won't be disappointed. I'd rate it somewhere between 2 and 3 because it's not quite up to par with other Sleep Inns I've visited, but it's not terrible either.

This place is convenient to the interstate and fine if you just need a bed for the night and are a heavy sleeper. However, I found it overpriced for what you get. Unless you have a special discount, you'll end up paying $20-30 more (before tax) for a small room with two doubles (all that was left when we checked in) than the $49.99 base rate advertised on the sign outside.

If you decide to stay and have a choice, avoid the third floor and odd numbered rooms. The third floor has mixed smoking and non-smoking rooms (the desk said they're all non-smoking, but that's not the reality according to the occupants or door labels). Odd rooms face the interstate and are not labeled as non-smoking. We had to refuse the first room because of noise and the smell--but the deal clerk was accommodating and made the switch quickly.

Also, apparently none of the 3rd floor rooms have the flat panel TVs advertised and you're charged the same with or without a fridge/microwave. The shower was relatively weak and the water fluctuated between lukewarm and cool (while cranked to full heat) as if the morning rush had used all the hot water up. These aren't big deals if you just need to sleep, but they're irritating given the price and advertising.

Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Everything in this place makes noise (the fridge in the first room ticked like a clock on doubletime) and you will hear your neighbors and goings on outside the building and in the hallway.

Breakfast is fine. You get a few hot and cold choices and it's much better than the usual sweet snack in cellophane you get at other economy places.

There is free internet access, but it's slow. I had to switch to my phone as a hotspot to complete some work because its 4G is much faster.

Stayed here last night ..while the room itself was clean and comfortable, the front desk staff was less than welcoming and had we not been so tired of driving we might have left. Apparently this hotel also backs up to a truck stop/rest area ...at 3a.m. We were awakened to an 18 wheeler "warming up" directly under our window...that was followed by many others doing the same..while we understand this is not the hotels fault, it did make for a short night. In addition, the breakfast choices were more limited than at other Sleep inns we have stayed at.

We stayed here while driving down to Florida back in March 2012! This is the nicest hotel off the exit. It's located right off of 95. The price was great w/ AAA discount. The rooms were nice and we slept great. In the morning our toilet overflowed. Staff gave us a plunger then it was fine. Breakfast was good but not enough options. Would stay here again.

It looks like this place had been remodeled recently and still in the process. The fresh paint smell and updated earthy tones give it a cozier more home-like feel. The breakfast was enjoyable and the rooms were kept up decently.

Room Tip: Definitely wake up early enough to get a taste of the breakfast before all the teams of teenage athl...

Very enjoyable night at this busy Sleep Inn. The room was quiet and comfortable, the breakfast was ample and filling, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The only drawback to stopping here (or anywhere in Hardeeville) is that there are not many eating choices. But that is no criticism of this hotel.

I would not choose this Sleep Inn as a destination. However, as a comfortable stopover conveniently just off I-95, I would definitely come back time and time again. The parking lot is well-lit and all rooms are interior corridor, making it very safe especially for women traveling alone.

Don't expect luxury! But you shouldn't expect luxury, as you are not paying for it; this place has great deals.

Not a great breakfast, as others have noted. But the breakfast area is well-maintained and clean. We were well-satisfied with this find, and as I said, we'll use this stopover again.
