“Paradise in the Low Country”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

We have located what Paradise is modeled after. That would be Disneys Hilton Head Island Resort located on water's edge in Shelter Cove. During our stay of 5 days and 4 nights we indulged ourselves in the serenity of the Resort surrounded by the most caring group of cast members in all of Disneys resorts. Within a short walk are several restaurants including two special seafood cafes that serve fresh caught fish served with a flair.
Our recently remodeled 3rd floor room featured a large veranda with 2 rocking chairs and a picnic table overlooking the courtyard plus a waterview, Comfortable bed within a large well appointed room complimented the Resort. We could not ask for more and shall return in the early fall.

Room Tip: We always stay in a deluxe Studio where all views are great

We checked in to the resort on May 5th for 7 nights and were instantly in love with the place. The resort and surrounding areas are beautiful, and just to welcome us to the room two dolphins could be seenu swimming when we stood out onto the ample balcony area.
The room (1 bed roomed suite) was extensive and wonderfully decorated, benefitting from a recent refresh. All the appliances you could need and a kettle on request if required (I cannot survive without my cup of tea each morning).
We had requested a low floor or elevator access to be able to transition our luggage easily and benefitted from a room in the main building (1128).
The pool house towards the beach is very straight forward to access and a helpful array of staff will transport you there via complimentary bus during the day. We sampled the resort pool, beach house pool area and beach itself and no complaints about any of them.
The food was the usual Disney snack meals, and were fine in themselves as long as you understand this is the limitations of the catering. It must be said though that the warm cookies and lemonade that are placed in reception are a happy little bonus of an afternoon and must be consumed when fresh from the oven.....
There is an array of thing to do in the surrounding areas, and staff have a number of suggestions to support you in getting the most from your vacation.
All in all a fantastic trip, an I look forward to returning in the near future.

My family of 5 stayed at Disney's Hilton Head Resort for 2 nights/3 days.

This resort has something for everyone. We did so many fun activities like kayaking, swimming in the 2 pools, taking walks along the beach, early morning fishing off the pier, relaxing in the hammocks and enjoying the beautiful low country scenery.

The 1-bedroom villa was spacious and clean with complete kitchen. Comfortable beds and huge bathroom with shower and separate jacuzi tub.

My husband and I were even able to enjoy a date night because the resort offers a 3 hour Kids/Teen Night In.

The staff was friendly and helpful, offering tips about the local restaurants and activities.

We cannot wait to book our next trip.

Our family had so much fun here. The staff was great and really took their time to make sure we had everything we needed. They were very knowledgeable about what there was to do, and I've never slept so good. I would love to come here again.

We have been members of Disney's Vacation Club for twenty years. This was our first trip to Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort. We were greeted outside of the check in building with a Big " Welcome Home" from the Resort personnel which immediately raised our spirits after a long 8 hour drive. The rest of our week long visit I'm glad to say was equally up lifting. The rooms having been recently upgraded were everything I've come to expect from a Disney Resort. Colorful splashes abound everywhere and vista views of yachts abound. The second day we stopped at Barnacle Bills for some fresh seafood, and came home with the best red snapper we have enjoyed in years. Bicycling along some of Hilton Heads one hundred or so miles of trails and beach was great family fun. There is plenty to do here so we'll definitely return for more fun.

Room Tip: Don't forget to ask for a Marsh view!

We have been to Disney's Hilton Head Island resort about 6 other times all in the summer, this year we decided to try spring break. We stayed from April 19th to 26th. Had another great stay! All the villas have recently been refurbished and the resort is all done now. We loved the new look of ours! We had a two bedroom on the first floor. Only downside to that is you will hear some noise from above. But it was easy to get all our luggage carried up. :) Our stay included Easter Sunday and the resort had wonderful activities all day that started with an Easter Egg Hunt in the morning. We then had a wonderful brunch buffet at their beach house plus they had more activities up there. They continued with Easter activities the whole day, a very fun day. The resort has fantastic activities each day from arts and crafts, games, to learning about Lowcountry nature and tours.

Disney's beach house is very nice too with a heated pool, lunch counter, and bar. And we just love HHI's beach - spent a part of everyday on it. :) We rented bikes from the resort also and rode all around on HHI's wonderful bike paths. The cast members who work at this resort from front desk, housekeeping, to the stores and lunch counters are truly top notch, so friendly and helpful!

We will be back!!

We just returned from our fifth family trip to Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort. We had a second floor refurbished two bedroom unit with a marsh view that was beautiful. They did a great job with the upgrades! We always find this resort so relaxing with the bike paths, pools, playground, hammocks, nearby beach house and many activities that are offered. There are also several good restaurants and shops within walking distance from the resort. The staff at the front desk and throughout the resort are always friendly and helpful. We can't wait to go back again soon!

Room Tip: Top floor is best
