“Garbage and dirt”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

First off I would like to say that I love Hilton Head SC. I was just really disappointed that the beach access had so much garbage shoved along the trees and bushes. The beach was also littered with cigarette butts and misc garbage. People need to take more pride in the area around them and clean up after themselves and use garage cans! Sea Crest and however is in charge of cleaning up this area needs to get busy and clean it up!!

Room Tip: Hopefully someone will clean things up.

We just returned a week ago from a great week in Hilton Head, staying in 2206 at Sea Crest. Accommodations were perfect. 2 big bedrooms, 2 very full bathrooms and a perfect LR, DR Kitchen set up. Also, 2 lovely balconies overlooking pool and ocean.

The proximity to beach as well as loads of shopping and dining options across the street at Coligny Plaza, made this the IDEAL place to stay in all of Hilton Head. We really never HAD to drive anywhere. We had great meals at a Greek restaurant across street, as well as Steamers and The Porch (Inside Holiday Inn Resort, just a few steps from public beach, next door). Breakfast at The Skillet was also always perfect. You get a discount at some of these places when you rent your apartment through Beach Properties. There is also a Piggly Wiggly across the street,

We also rented bikes (with kid seats on back for no extra charge), a crib, and beach toys/chairs/wagon from Low Sea Rentals and could not have been more pleased with how that all worked. They coordinated with Sea Crest and had the crib all set up in room when we arrived. Also was given a discount by renting through Beach Properties.

Our condo was spotless when we arrived and linens were all fresh. The only thing I did not like about the room was that the AC ran cold in certain rooms and there were no extra blankets.
I also really do not prefer "bedspreads" as I find them to not be as comfortable to sleep in, as well as being dated. One of the rooms had a bedspread, the other a more cozy comforter.
Honestly though, that the is the only issue I had with the entire unit. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans, etc...we did not cook much, but it was great to have the tools for a box of mac n cheese for the kids or waffles for breakfast.

The beach and pool were immaculate and so close to the rooms. We saw dolphins jumping right in front of us in the water almost every day. The tide pools that formed almost every day were perfect for my little ones to play in. The day we were leaving they were opening up a bar at the pool which would have been fun to have the rest of the week, but I think we saved more money this way :) Packed cooler each day with snacks and drinks for kids.

Can't say enough great things about Sea Crest, Beach Properties as Hilton Head. Super relaxing week away.

Room Tip: I would go for higher floors at this property for the view, but the elevator can be a little far fro...

Stayed in a 3 bedroom ocean view rental. The inside was dated but pretty much what you expect from a high volume vacation rental. We have three young children (5,3 and 1) and found this location to be great. It was on the ocean, they have two pools, bike paths, and across the street from coligny plaza. Coligny has a coffee shop, breakfast place, ice cream store, piggly wiggly so it is very convenient. We found sea crest villas to be an affordable option compared to renting a house.

I would stay here again if I ever come back to Hilton Head. The view cannot be beat. Definitely would recommend a 5th floor room in building 3, building 1 would be my second choice. The place was clean enough, but could have been cleaner. I like that they leave supplies like a mop in the closet so you can keep the place tidy though your stay. The beds weren't terrible, but could have been more comfortable. Unfortunately we did not have the best weather during our stay so we did not get to take full advantage of all this place had to offer.

Room floors were dirty. Jacuzzi tub was broken. Dryer vent was broken. Pool areas were covered in ants that bite. Not much staff around at all. Frozen drinks at bar were $9 which is ludicrous IMO.

By far the best thing about this place was the location. Right on the beach and across the street from one of the island's main shopping plazas.

We were in Unit 1504 Aug. 3-10. We had a group of 29 who also had 1502, 1503, 2116, 2106, 3401. The place was a perfect location. The shopping plaza across the street was a bonus. If you have little ones or you go to bed early, than don't stay in bldg. 1. Daniels is next door & you do hear the music. It was done by 11:00- 11:30pm. Our relatives in bldg. 2 heard it as well. None of us cared because it wasn't until 2:30am like some people wrote. The grounds are very well maintained. The crew working there were very efficient & they kept that pool bathroom very clean. The keypad entry was a plus for our group. You didn't have to worry about keys getting lost. We will try to stay in Bldg 3 just to be a little closer to the beach, but the walk was only a few minutes. The ponds were filled with turtles & coy fish. The tiny pet peeve I had was the outside elevator in Bldg. 1 was so hot, especially being on the 5th floor. We will try for a lower floor when we go back. We booked through The Vacation Company who I highly recommend. We gave them our cell number when we arrived from the airport. They called us by 3pm saying our unit was ready. We had no problem with the elevators or getting a luggage cart. Some of our family that arrived by early evening hit more traffic than we did. If you want to rent bikes, go to Atlantic Bike Rentals on Pope Ave. The owner Dennis was very kind. He charges 22.00 a bike for the week, cash only. My daughter & I walked over. I didn't have enough money & had my credit card. He gave us both bikes, no money down & said "come back when you can". I was impressed that he trusted us enough to come back. Some people said the water pressure in the shower wasn't good. Most of the units we had all use the "water saver shower heads". You don't get blasted with pressure, but that wasn't an issue for any of us. We all agreed to go back in 2 years for another reunion. It was a first time for all of us & everyone was very happy with their stay.

We stayed in 3101 right in front of the pool. 3 bedroom 3 bathroom. We have stayed in this exact one multiple times. 5 years ago it needed some updating. When we returned this year it had been all redone. Bathrooms are all renovated. Decorations and furniture updated. The location can't be better. Walk to the beach out your door, pool right out your door. Coligny plaza right across the street with restaurants, shopping, grocery, music, ice cream, etc. You don't need to go anywhere else except for excursions. Room has Beach chairs, sand toys, blow up toys for kids for the pool and Beach.
