Perfect in every way

We have a 43 foot Motorhome

the cost was $65 a night I believe

We have stayed here before once in November of 2013, we loved it and came back this year 2014 for a 3 week stay. Our site is site 52, not the closest to the pool but worth the small extra walk, nice landscaping and lighting and furniture, pavement has been replaced.
the only drawback with this park is it is not likely you will get satellite TV, a very limited number of sites may get it.

For us this place is one of the best, its true ist a bit older, a lot of the sites have not been up dated with new pavements, but the park is super well kept, nice pool heated in November with a 104 degree HOT TUB, tennis courts, shuffle board, a small basket ball court, for a RV park a very, very good fitness center, very clean and new public baths within the activity building, well light and modern laundry room with irons.

we are approximately 1 1/4 miles from the beach and we use bikes to get around, tons and tons of local restaurants, Captain Woody's is only a very short walk and has a good hour specials

Room Tip: Look on line and see if there are pictures of your site or ask for an upgraded site when you call th...

This CG was Awesome, but we may be biased because its was our first park. Custormer service was great and the husband and wife team went out of their way to may us feel welcome. As newbies, we did not have any jack pads(really had no idea what he was refering to) but they supplied them and we obediently placed them under the jacks. It was a test run so we only reserved one night and wished we would have stayed longer. My teenage daughter drove our vehicle and arrived about an hour after we did and the staff led her to us with his trusty golf cart. Later we had another car of relatives that just happened to be in the area and the golf cart led them to us also. We did have a problem with the key card (could have been the fault of the cell phone...now where did I put it?..)Oh well, tried to call the staff but it was after 7. Had to call my husband and friend who brought up their car to the wrong side of the gate and we went thru the wrong side of the gate(why is it when you do something wrong, someone is ALWAYS watching. The lovely couple pulled up as i was going thru the WRONG WAY, and me with a deer in the headlights look) Sorry! Well they apologized for the key card not working and a few minutes after we got to the site, there was the golf cart again with a functioning key card. Owners were friendly and it was very peaceful. People walking past our site either waved or stopped to chat. An overall good experience.

We have visited 3 times as renters for about a week each time. Love the location that is within bicycling range to the beach and many restaurants. We were afraid that since we were renters in an ownership park, the owners may treat us poorly. We found the opposite to be true and each time we have visited we were invited to parties (once to a loop party and once to an impromptu party after a trivia night in the clubhouse). The owners we encountered couldn't have been more accommodating. Like many things in life and travel, people make the difference. Here the staff and space owners are all excellent. On our first visit, our teenage daughter and her friend were with us. One day they met some ladies in the clubhouse who welcomed them to their knitting group and they both came back to the coach that afternoon with knitting needles and knitting projects! Now that is genuine hospitality! Oh and you can ask for a specific site or they will take you in a golf cart to choose from available sites.

The smell of the beach is a brief bike ride from your 40 foot Taj Mahal. Each site is privately owned and well maintained with palmetto accented concrete pads and full hook up. Self directed activities include lounging in an adirondack watching the clear pool water, swinging a racquet towards a soft yellow ball, and enjoying the extreme dark created by the thick vegetative canopy.

For the price I would hope to be entertained by live music but that may cause most of the residents to turn down their hearing aids and use their cumbersome walkers hoping not to break a hip while busting a move to a tune you last heard going to the 21st floor of a high rise. The most entertainment you will see is a cut throat game of B-2, I-30, N-19, G-27, and O-12. Don't forget to blot your free space in the middle of your card.

This resort is lovely and very well kept. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. One of the very best RV Resorts we have stayed at. Have no idea what the complainers are talking about. This place is great.

Room Tip: A spot around the lake is beautiful

This is one of the older parks originally developed under the now-defunct “Outdoor Resorts” umbrella. It’s definitely showing its age, with narrow roads and sites, and frankly overgrown vegetation. This shows in the variability the sites (from well-appointed upgraded pads to uneven and broken concrete slabs) and common areas (clubhouse/pool/tennis are superior, yet much of the interior roadway system is damaged by tree roots and was under repair while we were there). Although only a few, the older perma-rigs that haven’t moved in years are quite noticeable, some severely discolored from moss, mold, and mildew. As an ownership park, it appears that individual site owners are responsible for maintenance on their space. The site we were assigned was so overgrown that the palms rubbed both sides of the coach, and we actually had ants infest a window frame by crawling up the vegetation. So much debris fell on the coach that I had to go up on the roof with a broom on the morning of departure to clear the awnings and slide toppers. Although the site was concrete and the broken areas didn’t impact our ability to level, the “patio” was wooden, and the boards were starting to rot out underfoot. The utilities worked, although the 50-amp socket was cracked and the Wi-Fi was weak in the “Forest Section”. There is a dog run, but it’s actually located outside the gated portion of the complex, so don’t forget your key card or you’ll pay a fine. Beware of add-on charges and resort fees, and make sure you know your all-in price. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, even if not able to help with the individual site maintenance issues.

We arrived 1 day early after the office was closed. If wasn't enough that They had an area for you to hook up outside the park, they also have a number posted for you to call after hours, and within a very short time a very awesome gentleman shows up and allows us to go to our reserved spot as he escorts us in and helps us back into our spot! Talk about incredible service !!! The resort is so nice, clean and has everything you could ever want!! The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. This was our first trip to this area and we are already looking forward to coming back ! I would highly recommend you staying at the Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort..
