We rented a house in Sea Pines over the 4th of July week. This was our first visit to Sea Pines and Hilton Head. Sea Pines is wonderful. There is so much to do. I have 3 kids ranging from 12 to 15 and all had a blast. There were many families with younger kids too. This is a great place for families of all ages. All of us want to go back next summer!

We have been coming to the Sea Pines Plantation for over 30 years renting houses, condos and villas through vrbo.com. Sea Pines with its clean beaches, fantastic bike trails, memorable golf, tennis, majestic live oaks, the wild life, Harbortown, South Beach make it a wonderful family vacation. We would not stay anywhere else on Hilton Head Island.

I have been coming here for over 20 years. My parents brought our family here and now I'm bringing my kids. We have yet to find a more family oriented vacation location. There are accommodations to fit everyone's family and budget. You can go through Sea Pines or look through the Vacation Rentals By Owner to find some really good deals on a condo/house. Most of the condos, houses, etc are independently owned so each one is different. You should checkout all the different areas inside Sea Pines as well as around the island. Be prepared for some traffic and use the Cross Island Parkway toll road for $1.25 and save an hour of sitting in traffic when coming and going to the island.

It's Difficult to get Sea Pines out of your system once you vacation there. We've been the last few years and stayed at the inn, which we absolutely loved. This year we decided to try renting a villa and we loved it even more - we got a two bedroom villa that was plenty big for the three of us. It had a nice updated kitchen, very nice family room, beautiful bathrooms, very nice bedrooms, a wonderful screened in porch and a nice view. We had such a blast. We chose one within walking distance to the beach - the beach is so awesome especially good for kids - life guarded, big flat beach with easy surf and plenty of sand for the kids to play in. Our stay gave us use of one of the pools, which was also very nice and my son loved - very large with a small kiddie pool. Harbor town is a must - we climbed the lighthouse, took the pirate boat, watched a free Greg Russell concert (for kids), and the shops and food. Also one of my sons favorites is the huge playground in harbour town. There is do much to do here - I can't even begin to cover it all but we had a blast and will definitely be back!

Really enjoyed staying at Sea Pines, plenty to do with Grocery stores near the entrance, Harbour Town, and Salty Dog Marina, plus plenty of restaurants and shops to keep you busy. We really didn't leave the plantation much. Usually we have stayed in Shipyard in the past, but found this trip real enjoyable. We stayed at Lake Forrest Villas and our unit was really nice, and will definitely be back again next year.
