Description: As Linda and her culinary team work their magic creating soups, daily specials and awesome desserts, Hugh and his well trained wait staff cater to the needs of the guest. To accompany the delicious meals offered at Sunset Grille, Hugh has put together an extensive wine list that is well rounded and well priced. If wine is not your drink of choice you can choose from a large selection of spirits or craft beers. Sunset Grille is a casual fine dining restaurant established in 1996 by Linda and Hugh Lockman. Whether you are dining at lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch you will not be disappointed. Sunset Grille has been consistently recognized as one of Hilton Head Islands best kept secrets and was voted by Garden & Gun magazine to have one of the BEST Bloody Mary's in the south. With virtually no advertising it has remained one of the most popular dining destinations on the Island. Along with the fantastic food, great beverage list and attentive service Sunset Grille offers one of the best sunset and water views on Hilton Head Island. Located at the Hilton Head Harbor Marina on the Intracoastal Waterway and overlooking Pinckney Island Wildlife Refuge, it is a view not to be missed!

Found out about this place by trolling Trip Advisor. Went for a date night as it was our last night there. We have a house on the island, so we've been going there for years and never gave the place a thought. Big mistake, huge! The food rivals any I've had anywhere. The service could not have been better. Our server was the chef's wife, and took the time to meet and get to know us. We felt like we had made a friend by the time we left the place. This will be a go to for us in the future. The only thing I will say about the place, the staff ( we met), and the food. " You want to go there!"

The manager of our condo recommended this to us and we were so glad she did. It is located next to an RV park and on the second floor of that park's swimming pool. Only seats 50 or so, reservations a must. The sunset rivals Key West with the addition a second story view over a swimming pool. Almost everyone left their table and went outside to see the sunset and take pictures. The food and drink were excellent, a small restaurant with a great chef. Make reservations as soon as you get to Hilton Head or at home, you will not be disappointed.

Once again Trip Advisor found us a hidden gem! This was our first trip to Hilton Head, and we love to try places that stray from large crowds. I called a week ahead and they told me what time the sun would be setting, so advised when to come for the optimal view. We arrived to a perfect table in the corner reserved for us. Don't be deceived when you pull up to a trailer park and have to climb the steps over the laundry! We started with the Mussels Provençal which were sautéed in a white wine and garlic sauce and delicious! I enjoyed the Salmon served over grits, and my husband had the seared Sea Scallops served on a bed of corn succotash. Of course we sampled each other's and felt that they were both delicious! The sunset was amazing and we were so happy with our choice of restaurant. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because our server was not very friendly, and never came up to us during our meal and asked if we would like anymore wine ( we would have!), actually came with the check as if he were a tad anxious for us to be done, even though there were plenty of other tables still eating. But we loved our experience here and would highly recommend!!

I loved the view and the ambience. The food was good and so was the service.
We were delighted with the low-key atmosphere. There were some families there with children and I don't think the menu was very accommodating to children. However, they seemed to enjoy it anyway.

If you enjoy crab cakes than you must go, also the pork shank is outstanding, the salads are large, our guests said the shrimp & grits and seafood bolognese were out of this world. Service was excellent, view you can't beat. In the RV Park off of 278, a gem of a resturant, small so make reservations days ahead, this is a 4 star resturant so be prepared it is expensive but worth every dime.
