“Beautiful grounds”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 February 2014

This is probably one of the nicer campgrounds I have stayed at. I say that because it is as close to nature as you can get. Lush, very green even in February, duck pond, animals everywhere. This place is not about cement or paved roads. I appreciate that. This place is about 10-15 minutes to downtown Charleston. It's a straight shot down Savannah Hwy. Reasonable rates, wifi, laundry, showers, everything but cable tv.

We stayed at the campground and fell in love with the atmosphere. Its clean and quiet, just what you would like to relax. We have 3 children and they enjoyed the park and the fishing. The pool was open however we didn't use it because it was to cold. We were able to get downtown fairly easy minus the Charleston traffic. We loved the staff as they were helpful as to what is to do. Everyone was friendly and I will be returning when we travel that way again. Thank you Lake Aire for a wonderful stay...See you soon.

The sites where not as large as what we where told, was suppose to be 40 by 70, we have a 36 ft motor home and a car dolly, not enought room to park. A train runs close to there so you hear the noise all night, alot of children in park that was very loud and run around in your site. Was alot of electric surges lights kept going bright and dim. The internet was so bad so slow you couldn't even use it.The woman in the office don't know if she was the manager or what she was but she was so busy wanting to flirt with the guys, didn't seem to have time to take care of business. We have been traveling for 5 years and this was one of the worst parks we ever stayed at would never stay there again.

Nice quiet clean rv park. First the office staff could not have been friendlier. Rv park is very clean and quiet. Yes their is a train track but it's not right on top of you. Don't know about tents but in a RV it's not a problem and not very often.
Nice flat sites and grassy. Wifi works!
Only thing I would do is put cable in.
Nice stay. We will be back.

We visited Lake Aire in late October and loved it. The bathhouse was very clean, the staff was very courteous. The management was very friendly and met all of our needs. There is a train that passes by but it didn't bother us. We really enjoyed the ducks, the fishing, and the wildlife. We were close to Charleston and enjoyed our days there while the nightly campfires were peaceful and fun!

This campground may be great for trailers or motor homes, but if you have a pop-up or a tent beware of the trains that run very close to the camp ground. We have a pop-up and didn't realize about the trains until I thought one was going to run me over in the middle of the night. We stayed there from Tues trough Sunday. It is very startling to be awaken in the middle of the night by a train whistle which sound very very close. I literally jumped from bed and was running for it.. The campground itself is very clean and nice. But most nights trains came through several times a night. They ran all day also, but weren't much of a bother during the day, but at night would wake you from a sound sleep. I slept through the night only one night all week. The prices were reasonable and not very far at all from Charleston.

Nice little park, it is very quiet and had several families staying. The area is rustic with a nice lake and wooded area surrounding it. The lots are not wooded however and are close together. The pool was very clean and clear, the restrooms were clean. No noise or rowdiness at all, there is a train that runs nearby, but it did not bother me at all, I guess if you have never lived near a train it may be an issue as shown in some other reviews. There numerous gas stations just outside the park and a grocery and a wal-mart fairly close. Downtown Charleston is a straight shot down US17. Definitely a nice place to stay, especially for a family, if visiting the area.
