“This restaurant is no longer in business in Irmo.”
Reviewed 24 October 2013

Catch 22 has gone out of business. The space is not occupied by a new restaurant under new ownership and management. The new restaurant is Bistro on the Boulevard. This post is not a review of Bistro on the Boulevard but only a notice that Catch 22 is no longer in business in Irmo.

“Would have eaten there but they moved and their website is not updated”
Reviewed 23 July 2013

So their website is catch22irmo.com, the front of their website has Lake Murray Road as the address, and they have a very clear picture of the location on Lake Murray Road.....BUT BEWARE, that location is closed and under renovation by a new buyer. Here is the kicker, I called the phone number from their website at lunch to ask their price of oysters since it is listed as 'market price', and that person said nothing about the locaiton change. The new owners at old Catch 22 location that is under renovation said I must have called the Catch 22 Chapin location. Their website says nothing about Chapin. That is a nightmare, and wated much of our night as we are here from out of town for work, we will not try the other location since the website ran us around.

“Very good choice”
Reviewed 14 April 2013 via mobile

Catch 22 was recommended by our hotel manager and his enthusiasm was quite justified. Catch 22 is a casual, friendly kind of place with both inside and patio dining. It is the food which sets it apart. My scallops were just excellent and my Florida based companion assured me his fish was better than what he had been finding at home And cost a lot less. Wait staff was pleasant and attentive. All in all, we felt lucky to have found this place.

“wait staff lacking”
Reviewed 12 April 2013

The food was average at best the calimari had lost most of its breading, the fried green tomatoes were having the same problem the waitress we had had little knowlege about several items on the menu the the owners were a bit confused as to what type of resturant the wanted seems to me the were sports bar fry shack with bar and patio seating? With a little more attention to detail this could be a good locals place

“Another great meal”
Reviewed 14 March 2013

This is our second visit to Catch 22. We were in Irmo last year and wanted to go again this visit. We had the Sesame Seared Ahi Tuna which was deliciously rare and encrusted perfectly. Tried the She Crab soup, remember to ask for Sherry to top off the soup, it adds such a nice balance to the rich flavor. Our group tried the crab cakes which were very good but a little soft, would have been better if the cake was more dense. The fried shrimp was good as well. A live band was just starting and the crowd was growing. Great place to meet new people, has a nice vibe. So, another great meal. Can't wait to return.
