“A Great Out Of The Place”
Reviewed 11 May 2014 via mobile

My wife and I stopped in on a rainy Saturday for lunch and we're so glad we did. Our waiter was extremely knowledgable about the menu. We ordered the specials of the day. My wife had the Salmon salad and I had the Soft Shell Crab salad. I tasted the salmon which I think was the best salmon I ever tasted. It was a nice piece of fish cooked to perfection. I had never tried soft shell crab before and I was delightfully surprised. The crab along with the salad was absolutely outstanding. We will be back to this one again. I highly recommend you check these folks out. They know how to a prep a good meal.

“Fine Dining at the Beach”
Reviewed 10 May 2014

While visiting the beach at Isle of Palms/Wild Dunes we stumbled upon the Long Island Café which is right next to the new Harris Teeter on Palm Rd.
Once you enter you are obviously in a fine dining restaurant perhaps the best at the beach. The décor is sleek with a limited amount of tables so I would suggest reservations if you have the time.
The four adults started with salad which are large enough to share and our waiter was gracious enough to split the salads on to separate plates for us.
The stuffed shrimp, Mahi Mahi and broiled seafood selections were all just fabulous as were the sides particularly the Southern cheesy grits and fresh string bean medley.
The café is also kid friendly with a children’s menu and the staff is well prepared to accommodate the little ones.
Happy hour drinks are fairly priced and wine by the glass is reasonable and served with a nice pour. Our waiter was also the baker and served up a wonderful Hummingbird cake that was light and fantastic and the kid’s shared an ice cream.
The service was great as well and the entire dining experience left nothing to be desired.

All in all a simply fabulous meal for four adults and two children at a very reasonable $168 that included adult beverages.

“Locals Delight”
Reviewed 13 April 2014

The food was delicious and the service was very good. Obviously a locals favorite since the whole parking lot has been under renovation for the food store next door. The new store opens in 2 weeks so construction is nearly finished.
But the restaurant remained active with all the locals who come from the island. We loved it and would return again. The seafood was very good and the desserts just topped off the meal.

So glad we stumbled on this place. Best food we had on Isle of Palms. Lots of variety in the menu, delicious seafood, extensive wine list, and knowledgable server.
