“Dirty. Smells weird.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014 via mobile

Dirt. Filth. Food you have to wonder if it's filthy outside and in dining room how filthy is the kitchen? The food is overpriced and lack luster. Some servers are good. Most lazy. No managerial direction. No cleaning. The deck has cigarette butts mashed in that have been there for years. Never pressure washed. Super cheap broken chairs. Always doing the bare minimum there. I pray someone who knows it's a gold mine buys it and tears it down and does it right. It's a joke. Even the sign out front is old and gross. Look at it!!! The owners obviously care about nothing except collecting some money.

“One of a kind place on the lake”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

Gathering spot for boaters in season. Fun and good food year round. Restaurant is locally owned and operated with Steak and seafood their specialty. They have lots of docks for tying up your boat and big deck with bar that sits over the lake. always enjoy going here.

“Popular Spot - Only Place on the Lake”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

Not happy with meals or drinks at this place. My wife and I have tried it numerous times, but the service is just ok and the food has been unacceptable. It is a very popular spot on the lake, but it is the only place on the lake. It will have to change management before we try it again.

“Food not so hot, but great for a drink on the deck”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 March 2014

T-Bones is the only waterfront restaurant on Lake Wylie. Unfortunate to say the least. The food is just so-so and the service isn't much better. The restrooms are a disaster. But it is a nice place to have a drink on a summer evening on the outside deck. Well, let's face it. It's the ONLY place. But if you come by boat beware of their slips. They are in poor repair and just not very safe.

“Food Just a little off”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 December 2013

First visit to this restaurant;

Location/building/atomsphere
This is a very large rambling place located directly on the water (Lake Wyle) -- looks like it really belongs on the beach; The parking lot was jammed packed but when we got inside, it was almost empty --- then I realized everyone was in the bar which is a large addition accessed by a single door kind of unnoticed with all the junk; It was afterall, Friday night which is considered "date night" in the Charlotte area. Huge room, mostly old wood everywhere, lots of animal heads and stuffed squirrels, etc. Old signs and lots of junk nailed to the walls and hanging from the ceilings. No noise even with the hard surfaces but it was almost empty.

Service
Quick and responsive; Answered all our questions -- refilled the drink glasses without asking and at the same time didn't hover around. We asked what was their "best dishes" or what are they are known for and we got ribs and the waitress's favor, different chicken dishes.

Food
2 had ribs, one had fish and chips and I had a bacon cheeseburger. The rib diners were complimentary of their food -- moist, fresh taste; One did comment the bbq sauce she asked for had a somewhat strange flavor -- couldn't pin point what it was. The fish and chips were OK although somewhat small order of fish; Was supposed to be cod but didn't have that sweet cod taste -- probably not cod. Slightly greasy tempura type batter -- not beer batter.
The burger was cooked as ordered; The cheddar cheese however was done as many places do -- melted to opaque clear which removes the flavor. I asked for well done bacon (strangely bacon is not listed as an option for a cheeseburger on the menu) and it came crumbled -- it was very old/stale bacon micro-waved; Lettuce was OK but the slice of tomato was retrieved from near frozen status making it squishy. The side of fries was hot and fresh flavor.

Noone tried desserts -- they don't have a menu but the waitress ran down their offers like she knew it well.

Price of all was at or below what you would normally expect.
