Idyllic setting, very clean, comfortable and well appointed cottage (Huntbox), lots to do, friendly and accommodating staff, and we could bring the dogs which lowered everyone's travel anxiety - ours and the dogs'! Would definitely visit again. Perfect for weekend getaways (2.5 hours from northern suburbs of Atlanta), weddings or reunions. It was worth the trip just for the breakfast muffins!

Room Tip: Huntbox is dog friendly and has an upstairs loft if you're traveling with kids. But VERY clean...

My husband and I were married at The Red Horse Inn and spent three nights in the Springhouse Cottage for our honeymoon. Roger and Mary were endearing. From the moment we stepped into the Inn until we left, they were always available to meet our every need. We chose the elopement package, and I can honestly say every aspect of a perfect wedding was provided by Roger and Mary. The wedding setting inside the inn, the flowers, cake and champagne...all provided by the most gracious host and hostess in the world, the wonderful four course dinner served by Roger that first evening in our cottage, the chocolate covered strawberries, the breakfast casseroles, the fresh fruit (our refrigerator was filled with delicious food for our three day stay), our early morning and late evening walks around the inn...we can't say enough about our visit to the The Red Horse Inn. To sum it up, I asked my new husband as we were walking around the inn grounds one evening..."Have we died and gone to Heaven, without knowing it?" We would recommend a stay with Roger and Mary at The Red Horse Inn for any occasion to experience "A piece of Heaven on Earth". Plus they have the horse to go along with the special ambiance already provided by the inn. Don't miss Secret! She is probably one of the inn's best kept "secrets"! What a lovely horse! What a wonderful three days! It was definitely a piece of Heaven on earth!

Room Tip: The inn did not have a swimming pool or fitness center, but who knew. Our personal hot tub was just...

We spent 3 days at Red Horse Inn and did not want to leave!! It was fantastic! We stayed in the Grainary Cottage which was beautifully decorated, very cozy and stocked with everything to make our stay comfortable. Loved being able to eat breakfast in the cottage and on our own time schedule. The grounds are exquisite and the views fantastic. Mary, Roger and staff are very gracious hosts and really go out of their way to pamper guests. We had pizza in the cottage one night and it was delicious. Mary is a good cook! Thank you, Mary and Roger for creating such a beautiful place to escape the hustle bustle of everyday life and relax.

Room Tip: All of the cottages are beautiful and very private.

Stressed out, tired, too much going on - that was us. On a whim we decided to go on a weekend trip to The Red Horse Inn for our anniversary two weeks before my sons wedding. Oh what a great idea that turned out to be. You never know - but this was perfect. Relaxing, calm, quiet, inviting, wonderful views. We sat outside on the veranda with wine in the evening and coffee in the mornings. Extremely gracious hosts, welcoming and helpful. We will definitely be going back to this Inn.

Room Tip: We stayed upstairs, if you don't want to use stairs to go in and out be sure to ask for a floor...

My wife and I have stayed 3 times at The Red Horse Inn, the last visit two weeks ago. Each time, we came away refreshed and renewed. The hospitality of Ann, Roger, and Bob (the horse) was warm but not intrusive, and the inn and the setting are beautiful, with an amazing view of the Blue Ridge escarpment dominating what you see to the north. The decor in each room we've stayed in (Gables and the Carolina Cottage) is elegant and at the same time very comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: "Gables" has an excellent view of the mountains and pasture.

This B and B stands out among others. It is a unique place and kind of magical. We never saw the rooms in the main part of the inn, but the cottages are amazing. They are superbly decorated, include all the best amenities, including a full kitchen, two lovely decks, ( one off kitchen, one off bedroom) the usual shampoo, conditioners, soap, etc, and more, to make you feel welcome, at home, and pampered. The toiletries were especially nice; lavender soap, sweet scented shampoo, bath salts for the jacuzzi tub. There is a fireplace, comfy seating, and plenty to read. There is a tv with plenty of channels. Breakfast is left in the fridge. I heated the quiche in the microwave and the creme freche for the granola and grapes was decadent. Fresh juice and coffee. Then, a fabulous muffin for dessert. (The latter was saved for lunch!) The grounds and views are gorgeous. We walked a lot and enjoyed the fauna and vistas around every turn. I happened upon a flock of turkeys reminding me that we were not in the city anymore. Peaceful and serene. You won't find a better respite. Lastly, the hosts are completely charming. Engaging from the start, we were greeted as welcomed guests and provided with details about both the inn and surrounding area. Then, the best part, we were left alone. This is a special place, indeed.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at The Red Horse Inn in early April. I have been looking at their website for months now trying to make a decision on whether or not I wanted to stay there. Finally decided to bite the bullet and try it.......DEFINATELY NOT a mistake. We absolutely loved every minute of our stay....our only regret, is that we were only there for 2 nights. We were also able to bring our dogs, which is a huge plus in our book!!!! Our whole experience with The Red Horse Inn from the beginning when making reservations with Christian, til the very end at check out time with a really nice conversation with Mary, and everything in between was wonderful!!! We stayed in one of their lovely cottages, very sweet, comfortable, charming, private, and perfect!! The cottage had everything you needed and lots of little special amenitites, such as fresh flowers, table set for two, rose petals on the bed and much more. Everything has been well thought out here. The breakfast left in the fridge was really nice and definately a plenty. We had the pizza delivered on our first night so that we didn't have to worry about dinner. It was delievered by sweet Christian and might I add, very delicious!!!! We chose to just hang out in our cottage all weekend just to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery that surrounded us!! We had an awesome view of the mountians and plenty of beautiful landscaping to make our walks with the dogs wonderful. It was so peaceful and quiet. Even though we were only 30 minutes from home, we felt as though we were in the middle of nowhere!!! The innkeepers made it very clear that if we needed anything, they were only a phone call away. We certainly appreciated the privacy they gave us. We truly felt as if we were the only people there. It was a glorious, enjoyable and much needed weekend away for us! I can say with all certainty that we will be repeat guests and would encourage anyone near or far to check out this most gorgeous Inn, cottages and its surroundings. You will definately not be sorry. Thank you again to Mary, Roger and Christian for making us feel so welcome!!!! You definately have your slice of heaven here!!!
