This is a newer hotel and was much better than its sister hotel next door. The rooms are your standard HIE rooms, but was very clean. Service was good and a good value during the week. Will stay here again when I am back in the are for business.More

Thank you very much for writing a review of your stay with us. I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. We look forward to seeing you on your next visit to the area.
We stayed over a long weekend for a wedding in Mt. Pleasant. Hotel was clean and room (we had suite) was large enough for our family of 4. Small kitchen area with frig, microwave and sink. Front desk staff could not have been more helpful.
Only suggestion would be upgrade the breakfast a bit. It was average. Eggs look like Frisbees.
Pool is very nice and clean a bit small but is still okay.
I appreciate you taking the time to write a review of your stay with us. I am so glad to hear that the front desk staff was accommodating to you and your family. I hope that you will stay with us again should you return to the area.
We stayed here for better prices than downtown Charleston, and to compare with Best Westerns. It's a nice inside room multistory hotel with free parking. The breakfast room is large (and very busy) with a bit better quality items than BW like decent bacon and better eggs, but no fresh fruit, and so-so pancakes. Decent muffins and pastries though. Not sure the increment in price for the weekend part of stay was worth it though versus BW. Front desk was helpful, but busy, and only one person typically there to check in people and answer questions from guests stopping by, so there was always a wait for assistance. There is a trolley advertised to take you to the historic district, but very expensive relative to driving and parking (parking was only $5 near the visitor center and the downtown trolley is free). Rooms are comfortable and we liked the soft/firm pillow options offered. A/C is almost too good.
I can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel. Our room was nicely outfitted and very clean, as was the hotel. The outside area was very well kept, even though we weren't there during pool season per se. The front desk staff was the friendliest we'd ever encountered and were supremely helpful in everything we needed. The hotel restaurant was wonderful to have downstairs, and they accommodated us even when we came down to breakfast too late. There was a wonderful touch screen display in the lobby to help with dining recommendations, reservations, and ideas for things to do in the area. The location also couldn't be beat in terms of area attractions. We would most definitely stay here again. I hope we have a reason to in the future.
Thank you so much for your review. I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. We strive very hard to provide amazing service to our guests and I'm glad to know that that is the experience you had with us. I do hope you will stay with us again should you return to the area.
Stayed a few days during Spoleto Festival. While other hotels were charging astronomical rates, we got a reasonable internet rate in a super location and just 5 minutes from the festival/downtown Charleston. The room was perfect with great linens, exceptionally clean and the AC froze us out (which was great with 100 degree heat!) Clean, fresh smelling, modern decor and great staff during the stay... perfect trip!!

Because of unexpected car trouble, my husband and I had the serendipity to stay at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel in Mt. Pleasant. We had no reservation in high tourist season, but as "walk-ins" were delighted to have a 40% deduction from the normal rate. Carless, our desk hostess called a nearby restaurant for us which delivered a late supper to our door. We were also given an extended check-out time when we explained our dilemma.
Breakfast was really well done---lovely pastries, egg omelets, healthy yogurts, fresh fruits, juices, and heart-attack bacon and sausage---all very tasty. The coffees were gourmet delicious, too. All of this was enjoyed in an elegant breakfast/sitting area. We could have taken our fare to the outside eating area in a lovely setting of shaded live oaks and in view of the saline poor which had cooling fountains flowing. (I enjoyed a brief dip during this "unscheduled" vacation as well as a work-out on the treadmill in the very clean and professional work-out room).
The room we enjoyed was tasteful and comfortable. There was a microwave and a refrigerator, too. I loved the beautifully tiled shower and the products that smelled lightly of coconut and made me long for close-by Sullivan's Island (maybe real beachtime next time!)
We have stayed at the higher priced Hampton Inn as well as the Holiday Inn (not express) on precious visits. I don't want to stay anywhere else now. This hotel is well done, well staffed, and a true Southern pleasure.
