We actually ate here twice during our recent trip to Charleston. After spending way too much money on touristy dining in Charleston, Gilligan's prices were refreshing. Our meal was reasonably priced for lunch. We ordered popcorn shrimp. Being from Missouri, we aren't very picky about seafood, but we thought this was as good as the overpriced food we ate in downtown Charleston. I've also ordered the crab cake sandwich before and enjoyed that. The kids ordered non-seafood items and enjoyed their food. It wasn't very crowded and the service was excellent. We sat in the back. I would have enjoyed sitting outside if it hadn't been so hot. The scenery is beautiful as the back overlooks a lake.
