“Nice but very odd pricing.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2013

We celebrated a birthday get together with everyone meeting there at a specific time. The food was good, lots to do, a clean environment, and a friendly staff. This was the first time in many years that most of us bowled, and that was the reason the birthday girl, decided to pick this place. She thought is would be a lot of fun since it was different from the norm. Even though it was fun, everyone in the group thought the pricing for the activity was very odd. It appears that at certain times of the day or week you are charged for the lane at an hourly rate and with the hourly rate being reduced to half after the first hour. This hourly use rate is in contrast to being charged for each game that we are all familiar with. The big negative is that we had six people bowling and in the 10th frame, two of the six had finished and a message appears that the hour is up. You have to pay for an additional hour (at the reduced rate though) for the other four to finish their one game. We were advised about the pricing in advance of course, but paying for another hour at the reduced rate of $26.25 for four people to finish is quite odd and making this very costly for bowling a game. We would never do this hourly thing again, but would return sometime when the per game charges are in effect.

“Great time!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 June 2013

On a rainy, thunderous night during our recent vacation, we ventured to this bowling spot. The kids (ages 11 - 18) had a terrific time bowling and playing the arcade games. The food was actually pretty good also. The only issue I experienced was the staff was pretty slow with delivering the food/refilling drinks, etc.

“Nice alley not great service.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2013

We went in the afternoon. Looks like the place is new but they didn't hire staff based on work ethic. Bartender was loud and acting crazy with rest of staff. When we would walk up to the bar to get a drink was when our server (I guess it was our server) would ask "oh do you need something." Would much rather had been at an old school bowling alley for sure.

“A little pricey but fun for things whole family...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 April 2013

Not what I expected... it is actually a full service restaurant and bar attached to a bowling alley. Good drinks specials at the bar, and ok bar type food. Had a specialty burger which was good, not great but good.
Beware going on a rainy day at a beach town as it was PACKED. 1.5 hours to wait for a bowling lane, but we had to get food anyway so we went to the bar and ate.
Lanes are really nice and have lots of lights spinning and whirling like a Rock-n-Bowl type environment.
Took my daughter, I had one drink and we each bowled two games and the bill was 45.00.
To me that is a pretty expensive place, two games of bowling for two people was 26.00.

“Team Fun at Sparians!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 February 2013

We had a team of 15 people that where looking for a sort of last-minute bonding experience. We found Sparians on a rainy-day in Charleston. It was quite busy with a bit of a wait, but this was probably due to the weather and also the lack of multiple lanes. They had about 12-14 lanes, which is a good bit, but in situations with bad weather, plan accordingly! They do have some food options a bar and a nice token/ticket arcade as well for kids of all ages! Fun place to spend a few hours on a rainy afternoon!
