We recently moved to Mount Pleasant and thought we had to cross the Ravenel Bridge for truly fine dining, Wrong! My wife and I had a "date night" at Langdon's for the first time and found it to be as good, if not better than any restaurant we have tried in Charleston. The service is attentive without being intrusive The menu has creative appetizers, interesting seafood dishes, prime steaks and everything in between. The wine list had just the right number and variety of wine choices to compliment any meal. The staff was very accommodating when I asked for mixed greens instead of arugula in their goat cheese salad with braised candied pears....yum! We both had the tuna special with spinach and cherry tomatoes over couscous...exquisite! Unfortunately, with the two servings of warm bread and everything else, we had no room for dessert. We'll pace ourselves better next time. We hear from friends that the steaks are excellent also. We can't wait to go back and bring some other people who have not yet discovered Langdon's. If they live in Charleston, they 'll just have to be the ones who cross the bridge for a great dining experience. They will also find more ample parking and a more relaxed atmosphere than the big name restaurants on the peninsula. The prices are comparable to the more expensive restaurants in the city. However, with Langdon's you get your money's worth.
