“What a wonderful walk.”
Reviewed 6 February 2014

My husband & I walked down the pier. It was beautiful. There's also ample parking. The water is beautiful, the views are great & the boards themselves are easy to walk on. Even the people we passed all seemed calm & serene. We visit Mt. Pleasant often & I'm looking forward to another wonderful walk on the pier.

“Where are the fish?”
Reviewed 25 October 2013

I've fished off this beautiful pier 3 or 4 times now with poor results. Typically I don't see the other fisherman pulling in much either. Having said that - everything but the "catch" is great. The tackle shop/snack bar is well stocked with everything that you need for a morning of fishing. The entire park area is beautiful and you can leave your car there and walk across the bridge. I remember when I used to run it - those were the days.

“Sitting on the pier by the bay”
Reviewed 16 October 2013

Every once in a while you have to get creative when planning spaces, and this is one such example. Under the new(ish - only by comparison these days) bridge, there exists a nice enough park. Attached to the park, however, is a most awesome pier, which you can walk out onto - or simply admire from the shore if that is more your style.

Sure, you're standing under a rather massive bridge, and that can be intimidating. But should you want to hang out for a while, for a nice lunch, or fish, or just sit and listen to cars go by far overhead (or watch the occasional container ship go by), it's a nice spot to do so.

The best part is that it's not difficult to access, but because of the location, most people seem to have no idea it exists, so it is often not that busy.

“Greatest little pier”
Reviewed 8 October 2013

We rode bikes from the RRI hotel to the pier and back. I used to live in Mt. P, but never visited the pier. There was not much to it, but there is a lot of history, so check it out next time you visit the low country.
