Awesome! Can't believe I've lived in South Carolina 60+ years and never gotten to Brookgreen Gardens. After a half day, we went back the next day again. It is a magnificent place. The boat ride was very enjoyable. Well worth the nominal admission price and we would recommend this visit to anyone.

“Incredible !!!!”
Reviewed 11 November 2012 via mobile

What a magnificent place!! With a nominal entry fee the tickets were good for 6 consecutive days! We went 3 days on a row. Took the trekker tours, boat excursion, meet the animals and the magnificent sculpture gardens! What a wonderful place. The guides were so rich in the history of the plantations. What a treasure. We will be back!!

“Brookgreen Gardens”

This is certainly one of the most interesting places in the United States, period. They have 9,000 acres of Sculpture Gardens and walking path, a bird estuary, otters, a paddle boat, museums, two great restaurants and a wonderful gift shop. Plan to spend the whole day or even two. Plenty of golf and beach near by so when staying the whole family will have something to do. Regardless, every member of the family will enjoy Brookgreen for the youngest to the oldest. A must see and visit for everyone!

“This Place Has It All”
Reviewed 9 November 2012

Brookgreen Gardens is the perfect blend of natural and man made beauty. The magnificent sculptures are framed perfectly in the majestic Grand Strand of South Carolina. Admission passes are good for 7 days so you have ample time to explore the zoo as well as the grounds and all of the art! During weekends in December they light the entire place up in what they call A Night of a Thousand Candles. If you can swing a trip to South Carolina just before Christmas your entire family will have a very Merry Christmas. But if you can't this place is beautiful 12 months a year!

“A Unique Experience”
Reviewed 7 November 2012

You need to allow time to take more than one visit to Brookgreen Gardens. There's too much to see in a single day.
Sculptures are set in landscaped scenic positions which accentuate the mood and beauty of each piece. Water, trees, flowers, bushes all add up to an unforgetable experience. There's a coffee shop and a restaurant to break up the day and allow for a bit of relaxation.
Friendly local guides will help along the way with suggestions and advice,
