“Worth every penny!”
Reviewed 6 August 2012

This is the second time we have visited this with our kids. It is worth every penny. Make sure you get the $4 off coupon from online to make the tix $21 each. I don't want to give away all of the fun details, but the kids will really enjoy this. The parents probably will not have as much fun, but seeing the enjoyment your kids get is all you really need. It lasts an hour and 15 minutes. If you go when the heat is high, take some drinks -- it's ok to take them on the boat and it keeps the little ones (and you) hydrated. The kids get to dress up as a pirate and they get face painting. They walk away with pirate treasure. The whole thing really is fun!

Also, if you are in the Murrells Inlet on Wed. nights check out their free luau and fire show. It's awesome and free. Your kids will love this too. You could make half a day out of this little area. Pirate adventure, have lunch at Spud's on the waterway, luau and fireshow under the tiki hut, and some refreshing drinks from Spud's. Can ya tell I love this place!? :-)

“Great for kids!”
Reviewed 1 August 2012

My 6 year old nieces LOVED this pirate adventure! They can't stop talking about Pirate Pete! For adults, this isn't the most fun, but seeing the kids really get into it, makes it all worth it! Murell's Inlet isn't really close to Myrtle Beach though! It's about a 30 minute drive and if you have to take a taxi it's going to cost you about $40 each way. So, Beware Mateys!

“Great experience/adventure for young kids.”
Reviewed 21 July 2012

It is definitely tailored to younger kids up to 10 or 11. Both my 6 yr old daughter and 8 yr old son really enjoyed this. The crew was great and they thought of everything. Very interactive. That said the adults are there only to observe so keep that in mind as you are spending $25 each so it may make more sense to send 1 parent and save your money.

“Worth the $$--great for kids!”
Reviewed 8 July 2012

Our entire family went on this adventure, daughter age 7 and son age 5. There were approx 25-30 people on the boat, 12 were children. There were 2 staff, one was the captain and the other the helper/teacher. They were exceptional with the children and very interactive! Parents sit on the back or center of the boat while kids all sit at the front with the helper. There are constant questions for the kids as they are on a mission to find treasures, keys, maps, etc. We all arrived 30m prior to ship leaving for face painting and purchasing bandanas etc (optional). They do provide vests for the kids to dress up. The children can pick out tatoos or face paints (as well as parents)! We did, our kids loved that we dressed up too! You can take a bag on the ship and we would encourage taking a bottled water or too--they usually do have a table set-up close by where you can purchase prior to getting on the ship for $1. The kids get a very small cup of "potion" juice while on the ship--orange soda. Totally worth the trip! Our daughter enjoyed it but our son LOVED it!! It your son has a sword from home, bring it--it could save you a few dollars from buying one. Don't forget to print the $4 coupon on the website--good per person. Once on the ship, our ride lasted approx. 1 hour 10 min.
