We bought a season pass and it is well worth the money. There is always room to park and we bring our dog. They have plenty of picnic tables, nice clean rest rooms and pavilions. The beach is so beautiful. The remains of Anna Hyatt Huntington's Summer Home is open to the public for self tours. It is amazing to imagine what it looked like in its prime. It is very peaceful. The marsh board walks allow you to walk out over the marsh to see wildlife, egrets, Great Blue Herons, alligators, etc. There is always something to see and enjoy.

We love the beach, the marsh, seeing the alligators, and the wild life center where the kids get to see and learn about the animals and habitats. Last year we did the crabbing and it was such a great memory, we couldn't wait to come this year and do it again. They show you what to do, where to stand, and the best way to catch them. So much fun! Every year we come to Myrtle Beach, we will always drive down to Huntington Beach State Park for the crabbing experience! Not to mention it is very cheap, just $3 a person and all you have to do is show up with your ticket. Can't beat that.

I agree the park is beautiful and well worth the trip but there are enough reviews about that. The SC park system is one of the best (I'm from North Carolina and readily admit that). During the winter several SC state parks offer a "snowbird" rate. About $300/month plus taxes and fees. You can stay in each park one month. It costs me about $150 o $200 for a round trip depending on fuel costs to drive the RV. I sometimes park for a month and commute several times to my RV in the park. The last time I did this it was in January and the temperatures were great and we made 3 trips in the car to enjoy the park and area. Obviously the best choice is to stay a month but we have a small business and need to go back and forth. With a little planning you can move from this park to the next after your month is up. There is a Cracker Barrel and a K&W near the park, plus many things to do in this area in the winter. I find this is just like having a place at the beach with out the long term commitment. We are enjoying a one week stay right now and come more than just the winter months but December - February the park offers fantistic deals on staying longer.

First time here, and it was well worth the trip. It was very beautiful! Great little walks to the beach and also a nice walk to the Marsh. Nothing to strenuous.

Beach was visited off season but away from the beach crowds on a unpopulated beautiful, clean beach only minutes from Myrtle Beach. The area is a state park and has many areas for observing wildlife as well. Gators are visible in the marsh and numerous wildlife. Camping is also offered here. There is a gift shop and clean changing rooms and showers as well. A must visit if you are in the area and don't want the crowds, and tourist trap Myrtle Beach atmosphere. Once you come you'll come back. Came here with family and teens for this visit.
