We did not want to spend a fortune for dinner, so we go here for the first time before 5:30 p.m. to enjoy the Early Dine at $8.99 on a Tuesday. The parking lot is practically full. The restaurant has a nice crowd of diners laughing and conversing. We only had to wait a few minutes before being seated at a booth. Jean selected a Caesar Salad and Sweet Potato as her sides to go with her 6 oz. sirloin steak. I choose a House Salad with Honey Mustard dressing to go with my 6 oz. sirloin cooked medium/rare. Water with lemon to drink, fresh rolls with butter, and plenty of roasted peanuts gave us our start before the entrees arrive. Our server was friendly and efficient with a sense of humor. She had injured her leg and told us, “I won’t be able to dance for you.” Our meal was very good, and the service was excellent, and as we were finishing getting ready to leave we heard boots stomping as the young lady servers did a line dance and slapped the side of a metal partition simultaneously for a bang and beat in unison. We will return another time for the Early Dine when we do not want to cook supper while camping at the Rustic Tent sites that are part of Huntington Beach State Park.
