Arrived at Oceans One Resort on October 1, 2016. The staff at the front office was friendly and very helpful. Myrtle Beach is our annual vacation spot and we have stayed in numerous different hotels over the years. This was our first annual trip staying at Oceans One. Our room was awesome. It was showing a little wear, but that has to be expected with the amount of guests that frequent these rooms over the course of their lifetimes. The room was clean and everything in it was serviceable. There were no strange odors or anything that anyone could complain about. The pools were crystal clear, water temperature was nice. Beach are was clean in front of the hotel. We really were loving out stay here. Then it happened - we were mandatory evacuated for Hurricane Matthew. We travel north and inland for 4 days. During those four days, the hotel retained our reservation and credited us for the nights we lost. Upon returning to the hotel to finish out our vacation, the pool area was completed covered in sand and the exterior pools and jacuzzis were full of sand and ocean water. The staff was very pleasant during cleanup operations. Although our vacation was shortened by a Hurricane, we are very happy with the hotel and the staff working there. We will be returning to Oceans One Resort next year for our annual vacation. The hotel is conveniently located to our favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities.

I booked this for a short November getaway because I loved the photos on TripAdvisor. This is one of the rare Myrtle Beach resorts that didn't make me feel like I was staying in my grandmother's guest room. It is sleek and modern. I booked a two bedroom unit, not because my wife and I needed two bedrooms but because the unit promised a 180 degree view. The view is worth it. From the 19th floor we could lay in bed and watch the ocean from floor-to-ceiling windows, or from the second bedroom, lay in bed and watch the city lights. For a couple's getaway, it would be hard to beat. The pools are lovely, the beach is wonderful, overall cleanliness of the property is very good. The property does show wear in a few places, and there was some leftover damage from Matthew, but I have yet to see a beach property that doesn't have that issue. We have beautiful weather in the 80's and very few other guests to contend with. The resort does seem to be popular with French-Canadians, who knew? The resort is in the middle of everything (and amusement park is just steps away) so I would not come near this place in the summer. But after Labor Day, this is where I'll be heading for the forseeable future.

We visited Myrtle Beach and stayed at this hotel October 24 - October 28th. The first room we had the tv did not work, plus the chair had a hugh split in the pleather and the foam was filthy. I called to get the chair removed and was told they couldn't do that and they sent a maintenance person for the tv. When he saw the condition of the chair, he offered us to move into the room next door. We did (although we had already gone thru and sanitized the room) The new room did not have torn furniture, but the furniture had a stinky smell to it which we sprayed and sprayed the entire time we were there with alcohol, to no avail. The linen was clearly dirty so we had to wash it all (thank God for the washer and dryer in room). The ceiling was pealing in the bathroom. The suite was overrun with knats. The view from the balcony was beautiful and also the water facilities, i.e. pools and activities were amazing. Being right on the beach was a plus. But, I will never stay at this hotel again.

Room tip: Choose another hotel.

Our room was nice and clean. The elevators were fast. Parking was easy across the road. You had to leave the area to eat. The hotel was right on the beach and that is what we wanted. There was a small store across the street. This was the fall and right after the hurricane. The hotel did a good job of getting the place in shape for visitors.

Oceans One Resort is awesome, clean, updated, very comfortable and close to everything. Located right on the ocean this modern facility is just a block from the beach boardwalk going all they way to the main boardwalk with all the places to eat and games for adults and children. I have stayed here several years and will continue to come back as the best choice on the beach. The original amusement part is only a block away with more rides and games.

Room tip: end rooms on the North East side have an excellent (all glass walls) view of the beach and city
