Beautiful hotel and grounds, greeted at attival by all employees seemed truly sincere. The beach although not owned by Hilton was not crowded. The food and drinks by the pool was so-so and pricy, charge for parking was a downer.

Excellent service and support for our reunion! Rooms and facilities for our events were clean and configured as requested. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Bar service at the Tiki Bar was great. Maid was very pleasant and provided superb service. Overall great experience!

Excellent accommodations--room was clean and comfortable. There was an older gentleman working the Help Desk who was extremely helpful, from information about Myrtle Beach to good restaurants at which to eat after those in the hotel were closed, to helping us call a taxi. Internet access in guest rooms was patchy at best. Good access in lobby and in conference meeting room but very poor in guest rooms.

Hotel is more like a cheap budget hotel than a Hilton. Our room was musty smelling and carpet was dirty. Housecleaning did spray or clean something in our room the next to last day which did make it smell cleaner. We did have to call main desk twice to get housecleaning to even show up.

Room had a small cheap coffee maker which made 2 cups. The problem with the coffee maker was that the water reservoir was so small you only get half a cup of coffee at a time.

The bathroom was the worst I have ever been in. It was so small the door would only open to the width of the door at which point it hit the tub and clear the toilet by about 3 inches. There is about 6 inches of space between the toilet and vanity and anther 6 inches from the toilet to the tub. This is important because to close the door you have to be small enough to stand on the side of the toilet or straddle it to be able to close the door. The tile in the shower had a combination on dirty grout mixed with poorly applied caulk. The exhaust fan grate and door hinges had rust on them.

Outside the room was a concrete wall with a large pipe railing approx 6 inches above the concrete. There were cob webs between the railing and concrete that had spiders. The ice machine on our floor had a pile of old dirty insulation that been thrown there and the floor tile was stained and dirty.

We chose the breakfast buffet for stay. It was ok for a buffet but we would not do it again. If you want to eat breakfast there the cost is the same if you pay at the time or you have the option to go elsewhere if you like. The staff that worked in the restaurant was nice and attentive.

You have 2 choice's to park your car. Park it yourself for $9.62 or use valet for $15 per day. Why this is not included in the room charge is beyond me. We saw many waiting for valet and some even complaining.

Overall the staff excluding the front desk were nice and helpful.

This is a poor excuse for a so called luxury hotel and we will not stay there again. 2 stars is actually a generous rating.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else.

The hotel over all is very nice. The outside grounds are immaculate, and the lobby area is beautiful! The rooms are clean, but could use some updating in the bathrooms. Guestrooms are average to small, and the bathroom is very small! The beds are very comfy, but the feather pillows are not for me! The hotel is in a great location. Amenieties very nice. Plenty of security on hand. (gated community)
