This was our second time to stay at the Caribbean Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC. We have stay in the Chelsea House units and have enjoyed the rooms very much. The staff has been extremely nice and easy to work with. The reservationist and the desk clerk both were extremely helpful, curtious and nice. In fact the young man checking us in was the same both times we stayed at the resort. We have stayed many times in other hotels at Myrtle Beach and this has been the best yet. The Chelsea House units are very quiet, and secluded from the busy Myrtle Beach hustle and bustle and yet close enough for my family to enjoy the shops and restaurants nearby. At this time I cannot imagine staying any place other than Chelsea House at Caribbean Resort in Myrtle Beach.

This is our 3rd time to Myrtle Beach. I was looking for a hotel away from all the noise, but not in NMB. Picked this from Trip advisor and was pleased. It is the last resort on the strip before NMB, so it is quieter, but not too far from the attractions. We stayed in the Dominican tower. ocean front suite. Bedroom & living room are separated by kitchen & bath. Perfect for family with teens. They stayed in the living room which had a sleep sofa & murphy bed that pulled out of the wall. They had a big screen tv & dvd player. Balcony looked out over the ocean. Bathroom has a separate vanity area which is convenient. Hotel has an indoor pool & lazy river and outdoor pool & lazy river, plus hot tubs and a kiddie area with a huge slide. From pool are you can walk right onto beach. Sea Captains restaurant is next door, which is convenient for breakfast. All in all we were happy with our stay and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Only complaint would be to staff the pool areas so that rules are followed, but I've run into this at other resorts as well. Would love to have an adult only pool.

Pros:
- Excellent room (Dominican Tower), loved the kitchen, and the view.
- Clean - no dirt or sand in corners. No stains on carpet or furniture
- Passed "sock" test - socks remained white during our stay.
- Great pool area - slide was fun, used by our 4 yr old who rode for an hour straight
- crib provided free, great for our 2 yr old
- Kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, cooking items, a pitcher, utensils, etc.
- Bathroom was clean- no mildew
- Sheets and towels were white, no stains.
- Towels changed daily with PLENTY of replacements. Too many, really.
- Beds were really comfortable.
- Plenty of parking in garage
- Sea Captains restaurant was pretty good.
- Hotel Store had milk and other necessities.

Cons:
- Not enough seating by pools. We never had a lounge chair. Towels on every one, though signs said this was not allowed.
- Wife did not work in room or lobby. Complained for 3 days before someone reset the router. Worked on our last day. Note: Remove any firewall your computer has, even if staff says it isn't the issue.
- Computer Room has two computers, but only one worked.
- 3 elevators going into Dominican got backed up when it rained, wait lasting about 20 min. Elevators were used by staff, causing some back up issues at other times.
- Beach was clean but had very strong waves and a strong tide. Kept knocking our children down and sucking them away, and me too, a couple times.
- Staff never replaced burnt out light bulbs.
- The hall was right outside the bedroom, and could be loud when people passed by in the evening and morning. Someone woke the baby during her afternoon nap with loud talking and laughter.

I would recommend this hotel for families with children, who do not need a computer for work or other things. We stayed 3 nights, and we really loved the room. With children who go to bed around 8pm, its good to have a separate space the adults can be, and convenient to have a kitchen.
The elevators were a pain about 30% of the time, and didn't bother me much. We paid around $200 a night, and for that price there may be better deals. I highly recommend Kingston Plantation, as an alternative, but would stay again at the Caribbean if we found a great deal.

This was our first time in Myrtle Beach so there were hundreds of hotels to pick from. This resort was wonderful. Ocean front condos were clean and spacious. Staff was always there to help if needed. Loved the DJ by to pool to get the crowd going. Six adults and nine teenagers all had a great time. Would recommend it to all my friends and family.

2010 was our third straight year going to Myrtle Beach and staying at the Caribbean Resort. The resort is right on the beach with beautiful views of the ocean to greet you in the morning. The rooms are cleaned and well maintained by the staff, as is every area of the resort.. VERY kid friendly with the pool complex featuring 2 lazy rivers(indoor and outdoor), a water slide that will surprise you with its speed, and the pools and hot tubs. There's not enough good things I can say about the Caribbean. We love it!
