This hotel was in the perfect location for a vacation with no need of a rental car. They are next to the Boardwalk, Skywheel, Pier 14 Restaurant, concerts in Plyler Park, numerous bars and ice cream parlors and of course the Beach. Had the most wonderful week of fun and sun that I could ever have planned... with a very courteous staff as well. I was so busy, didn't get a chance to do their spa so that, I cannot rate.

The location of this property was the main attraction for me. Next to the pavilion, boardwalk, Sky Wheel, pier, etc. Easy walking distance to everything. That's the good news. The bad news is that you shouldn't EVER move your car once you have a parking space. They have 2 parking lots across the street, a parking garage 1 block over and another parking lot 2 blocks over. Many cars that were parked there did not have the hotel parking pass on the dash, and obviously folks were parking there unauthorized (again because of the great location). Management was not monitoring this situation. The bathtub wouldn't drain (4 hrs. wait for maintenance to come fix that problem), the sliding door onto the balcony wouldn't shut without considerable force, the "continental breakfast" was a disappointment, with very few choices and limited quantities. The elevators were being worked on at least two times in as many days. The refrigerator in our room had been turned off and left open prior to our arrival and didn't cool down enough until the next day. Our perishables had to be taken to the Office refrigerator overnight. I know the saying in real estate is "location, location, location" and as far as I can tell, that would be the only reason for recommending this hotel.

Room Tip: Higher floors in the Tower. Rooms in the building adjacent to the Tower do not have elevator service.

We stayed here two years ago but tried somewhere different last year. Bad mistake. Decided to stay again this year and was very pleased. New carpet, fresh paint and clean clean clean. Very pleased. The free breakfast was better this year because they had more fresh fruit. The location is the best if you have teens....right in the middle of the action.

I have a serious SAFETY CONCERN involving the elevators, they are not reliable and down right dangerous, there were numerous incidents where people were stuck during the 4 days we were there, and on our day to check out my husband and I were stuck between floors for 15 minutes, it would have been longer because lucky for us the elevator inspector was on the elevator with us, haha, needless to say it failed inspection, the emergency phone did not work so if the inspector was not with us we would have called 911 from our cell because we were roasting it was so hot in there, I need to add when we were getting on the elevator we could not stop the door from closing so my child got left behind, she was left all alone with her suitcase in hand, she is 11 so she took another elevator to the lobby and told them we were obviously stuck, they told her they were aware of the problem, not only that our bath tub stayed stopped up and the safe was unreliable.

Room Tip: We asked for a room with a good view of the beach and we got a room with a wall out on the left of the balcony, we were overcharged for what we got.
