The hot tub was very dirty. We stayed 4 nights and that hot tub was very dirty every day! The pool was vey small but hair floated around in the water! Soap was at the bottom of pool! The pool wasn't clean either! The curtains in the room was stained! I had to ask everyday for my room to be cleaned! We were not offered breakfast or anything during our stay! Front desk staff was very smart mouth.

The Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center is a nice hotel which is located just off the beach. It's good not to be on the beach because the beach is too crowded by all the beach hotel patrons.

Our room was supposed to be on the fourth floor but, I asked if we could go higher - so we got a room on the 12th floor - "Garden view". The room was nice but the air conditioning made some crackling sounds while the fan was off ... so after the second night, we told them at front desk about it.

We got upgraded to an ocean view room at no extra charge and the air conditioning was quiet and was working great in that room. What a view! We could see all the hotels on the beach and at night all the lights were spectacular.

The hotel is not new but it's well kept and nice. There are 4 elevators and they are fast. The beds are not queen but are comfortable. There is a mini-fridge in the room which was great for keeping our drinks and milk cold.

The staff are nice and helpful and the room was always nicely made up.

The only thing we didn't like was the parking for $8 per day.

If we go back to Myrtle beach, we will probably stay at this hotel again and we will stay in an ocean view room.

Some tips while in Myrtle Beach:
1) There are many public beaches, but it's better to drive there than walk - some have free parking and are less crowded - there is a 2 mile stretch to the north where there are no hotels, that's the best place for clean, less crowded beaches.
2) Don't buy souvenirs in Myrtle Beach, they have the same stuff and more, for better price at Sparky's Fireworks on the way driving back about 50 miles on US501 north at 2416 U.S. 501 Marion, SC 29571, (843) 423-2217. We paid cash so we had no issues.
3) To see a free show, we got "sucked" in to listen to a time sharing presentation - we weren't ready to invest on the spot - got to do the homework - but the show afterwards was worth it. Other places tried again to send us to listen to the same presentation, we told them: been there, done that.
4) We had sea food calabash once at a buffet on "restaurant row" - it was too greasy and all fried - there goes $100 ...

All in all, we had a great time in Myrtle Beach, we stayed in a nice hotel and everything went well, even the weather!

Room Tip: Choose ocean view, it's worth it.

Nice, comfy bed and clean room! Nice staff, however the views are crappy! But all in all great quiet and relaxing stay!
There is a limited Starbucks stand, that closes to early but it's great to have!

The venues here are always well managed. Beautiful. Never disappointed.I would recommend this place.
The location is very close to Broadway at the Beach and has excellent parking. For years we went here for Showstoppers dance forum and it is one of the best venues.

As we were approaching the hotel my son screams "Mom, is that our hotel?, If so you did good!" He usually doesnt say much about hotels as he has been in many in his short 9 years but this one impressed him from afar. It was a beauty. As we pulled into the circle area for check in we soon realized it was really big but had great signage so we knew right where to go. We all walked in to check in since we had been in the car since Savannah, GA. The "atrium" like entry way was beautiful and clean, almost sparkling. The lady at the desk was friendly and greeted us as we walked towards her. She found our reservation quickly and started explaining the hotel and what floor we were on. She set us up with their hotel program/reactivated it. She offered valet and we accepted. We hurried to our room to change and head out the door again. We were on the 12th floor which was the Preferred Customer Floor. Im guessing because my husband used his sky miles to pay for the hotel but not really sure. The room was perfect. It was clean, with a nice view of Broadway on the Beach. When we returned that Evening the beds were absolutely wonderful. The pillows were comfy except for the big hard ones but there were plenty of comfy ones so it didnt matter. My husband enjoyed the star bucks coffee and my son all the little shampoos and conditioner. Overall we all had a great stay and a great sleep. We will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: any room seemed to have a great room. Not sure that valet parking is really worth it as the garage i...

We arrived at about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday night. Check in was easy. As SPG members, we received free parking and free breakfast and snacks in the club room. Our room was amazing 932-934. We had an Executive King Suite! The view was awesome - "the ocean". The room also had a microwave, refrigerator and a sink. The back of the room was "all glass window". When we walked into the room, I was very pleased. The wifi worked great. We also had 1 full bath and one half bath (sink and toilet). Now the breakfast was good, but not work me getting up before 9:00 a.m (ends at 9:30 a.m.) The breakfast consisted of bagels, muffins, fruit, yogurt, hot oatmeal, juice, coffee and tea. The afternoon snack consisted of vegetables, dip, tortilla chips, spinach dip, brownies and soda/water. Beer and wine were for sale at $2-3 dollars. The hotel pool was very small. The kids enjoyed it for about an hour and did not ask to go back. The hot tub looked a little dirty and was in a corner - not appealing at all. The hotel offers use of the computers and a printer in the lobby. Very nice touch. We attempted to eat dinner at the restaurant, however with 2 adults and 3 children, the cost would have been a little high, so we left. We did not go to the bar, however it looked pretty nice when we walked through. The hotel is exactly 2 blocks from the ocean. Not a bad walk at all. I walked every day with 3 kids aged 10, 11 and 15. I enjoyed the hotel and would definitely stay there again. I would also recommend it to others who did not have to stay in a beach front hotel. We actually went swimming in the Breakers Resort on 21st and Ocean Drive (our old stomping ground in Myrtle Beach). They have a nice lazy river and a DJ. We also purchased drinks from their bar too. I had a great time and would definitely consider staying at the Sheraton in Mrytle Beach again.
