Its to try to get you to tour a time share The coupon books can be picked up a few miles down the road at the official welcome center, Kroger or just about anywhere in mb

We stopped at one of these on our way into Myrtle Beach because I'm always up for coupons. They did have lots of coupon books and info about the area, along with free drinks and snacks.

However, everywhere were turned it was another person trying to con us into doing a timeshare presentation. Just as an aside, if timeshares were so great, they wouldn't have to pressure and bully people into buying them. In my opinion, anyway.

Be aware, though, that any hotel you stay at is going to have the same coupons, map, and information available in the lobby.

Stay away from so called visitors centers. People pray on tourists and try to get them to sign up to "tour their resorts" with promises of free vacations and money or gift cards. We were approached at least 10 different times.
