Stayed 1 week in 2 bedroom 1402. The unit was huge, nicely furnished. Full size everything from Flat screen TVs to Washer Dryer. The units have all glass on the ocean facing side, loved waking up in the morning to see nothing but ocean from the bed. It is not in the middle of the action but the pool is heated and nice and the beach in front was great. So many historical places to visit. Myrtle beach has something for everyone no matter what your into. If your a golfer it is paradise!
Go to Georgetown and Charleston for day trips.

Room Tip: Most of the time share condos are on the 14th and 15th floor, good location for any. We were in 1402...

If you are going to Myrtle Beach to party day and night, Regency Towers is not the place for you. It is in South Myrtle Beach, so it is not close to the nightlife. Also, as a residential building, it is pretty quiet. However, if you are looking for a nice place to relax as a couple, or with a family, I suggest you give the Regency a try.

We stayed in unit 307. This is a 3 bed/2 bath unit. The mattresses were comfortable. Each bedroom plus the living room had a flat screen TV. The bedrooms had a good amount of furniture and plenty of closet space, so you can easily unpack and feel comfortable. The unit is clean, and adequately stocked with dishes, pots, pans, coffee maker, toaster, etc. The living room furniture is comfortable.

The staff at Regency are very nice and helpful, and not overbearing at all. The pool is heated, and there are two hot tubs as well.

If you decide to stay at Regency Towers, I suggest a couple things to make your stay more comfortable. First, bring your own clothes hangers if you plan to use the closet space. Our unit was very short on hangers. Second, it can't hurt to bring a few extra bed pillows if you are like our family and prefer 2 pillows per person.

Overall, I loved Regency Towers and will definitely look at it first when planning my next trip to Myrtle Beach.

We just returned from a week at the Regency Towers in Myrtle Beach.

We were assigned a room on the top floor (18th) and thought WOW.......how lucky! Not. Every time the elevator went up/down, the noise was like a jet taking off. And no, it wasn't because we were near the airport! The noise could be heard inside the unit and even in the bedroom overlooking the ocean. No sleep for us the first night. We spent one night in the unit and asked to be moved the next morning to a lower floor. The front desk person knew what we were talking about and told us the unit next to us on the 18th floor was not being rented out because of the noisy elevator. Would have been nice to know BEFORE we unpacked and spent a night.

Oh, and did I forget to mention the cockroach AKA palmetto bug crawling on the bathroom floor?Gross.

The units have fairly new furniture in the living room but the baseboards throughout need repainting badly. The baseboards in the master bath were banged up and paint had been slapped over them numerous times sort of like putting a bandaid on a bandaid.

The kitchen needs updating. It's closed off from the living room with a small pass-through like taking an order at a drive-up window. The telephone (not a wall phone) is on top of the microwave oven that sits on a counter.....nothing like thinking you're going to heat up the phone.

The shelf lining in all the kitchen cabinets looked like it had been there 30 years. It was peeling up and the edges were dirty. Ewwwww. I tried to peel a piece off and found hair stuck to it. Double ewwwwww. I had to make my own shelf lining with paper towels.

Most of the staff at the front desk was pretty friendly. There was one SourPuss that we had to look at every time we stepped off the jet elevator since their counter was right in front of the jet elevator. Yes, I just said jet elevator three times.

Would we go back? Only if the next elevator flight has convenient departure and arrival times.

I recently stayed in room 601 with 4 other guys for my brother's bachelor party weekend. We were originally assigned room 401 but I requested it changed because the decor in that room looked old and not updated. Room 601 was outstanding. Great big flat screen in living room, as well as TV's in all 3 bedrooms. The room was very clean and furnished very nicely. It was very convenient to have a fully equipped kitchen. The service at the front desk was awesome. They helped us every way they could and even allowed us to check out an hour later than the normal 10am check out time. Luckily noone was coming in behind us so they were able to accommodate. The location is OK. It's pretty far south so you will need to take a taxi to most places, but if you travel with a group, it doesn't really cost that much. The room rate was very reasonable considering the size of the room. I believe the Regency Towers is a great place for a group of 3 or 4 people. We had 5 people and we all slept comfortably. The only suggestion I have is to make sure you do some research before booking a room. If you go to their website, you can see pictures of every room so you can get an idea of which one will fit your needs the best.

My family (2 adults and 2 17 year olds) stayed at the Regency Towers in a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit in August. The unit was beautiful, clean, well maintained and spacious. Our son and his friend took over the 2nd bedroom (a single and double bed) and had plenty of room to set up thier game and not be spread out in the living room area. My husband and I loved the master suite with its floor to celing windows over looking the beach. It was amazing. The master bath was great with a separate walk in closet and sink area.

The unit has a washer and dryer which was nice because you could dry towels and bathing suits without having to hang them outside (fyi..there was 100% humidity so nothing dried outside anyway...smile). The washer/dryer was also nice as this is a timeshare and not a hotel so we were able to wash and dry towels while we were there. This is not a big deal and is typical for timeshares.

The kitchen was great but was not very well equipped. This was ok for us but if you are planning on cooking and/or had a larger group the kitchen "stuff" would not be sufficient.

It was great being steps from the ocean. We reserved beach chairs and an umbrella each day so it made it real easy to go to the beach. The reserved parking spot was also nice but there are no extra spots for guests. We were there with another family who stayed down the street in another hotel and they needed to pay for municpal parking when they joined us on the beach.

We enjoyed going to Murrel's inlet. It is a great place for dinner (many resturatns) and water sports. The boys went jet skiing and had a blast. My husband and I waited for them at a local resturant that overlooked the inlet. It was a great way to spend an afternoon.

We traded our Hilton Orlando timeshare for this unit and it was well worth it. We would stay at the Regency again and again and again....

We've been staying at Regency Towers for more than 20 years. We've seen many changes - some good, some not. The window walls that were installed a few years ago are amazing. But repurposing the arcade/gift shop/food and gift shop space every few years has not improved our stays. Before you go be aware of what you're getting - a huge ocean front apartment with spectacular views from the upper floors, a full kitchen, and an amazing balcony. What you do NOT get is services. This is not a hotel. People live here year-round. There are no amenities. The pool is small with nothing fun to do. The hot tubs are crowded. There is no maid service once you check in. There is no play area. And the fitness room is dated at best. However, this is a wonderful place to go if you're looking for a quiet spot to enjoy the beach. Just know what you want to do before choosing to stay here so you are not disappointed.

I have stayed at Regency once in the past and could barely remember the place honestly. Once I arrived I was very happy for making the choice to stay here again. The room was very spacious clean and comfortable. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Camillia (front desk staff) was very helpful and directed me to the various things that I was seeking in Myrtle Beach. I am also glad that I had a designated parking space; wonderful view and clean pool. It is family friendly, if you plan to take a vacation with a big group this is the place to stay.
