Owner description: Surrender to an age of bravery and honor and witness epic battles of steel and steed during our tournament spectacular. From ringside seats, discover a feast for the eyes and appetite. An evening of enchantment and excitement for all ages. Guests are taken back in time and encouraged to cheer for one of six "Knights of the Realm," named after historic regions of medieval Spain, while feasting on a four-course banquet served in true medieval, pre-silverware fashion. The newest production features amazing lighting, costumes, choreography, exciting battle scenes, falconry, new horse dressage elements and a fresh musical score by the world renowned composer Daniel May.

We brought our 6 year old granddaughter here for a special time and were not disappointed. Since I had coupons for $15 off, I spent the extra $10 for the upgraded "Royal" tickets, and we ended up with front row seats, so it was well worth it. We all loved the horses, pageantry, and the tournament, and the food was pretty decent too. You eat with your hands, so it was a little messy with our granddaughter, but they give you wipes to help clean up. I especially loved the fact that the "Blue Knight" gave our granddaughter the blue "Queen of the Tournament" ribbon - she was so excited and she felt so special. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is that in order to get the best seats, you have to go early as it is first come first serve seating, and since you have about an hour before they let you into the arena, you end up spending more money for drinks, souvenirs, etc., which I guess is the point. But I am glad we chose this dinner theater over the others in Myrtle Beach.

The show is expensive, the food is good, but the acoustics were awful - the sound way too loud. If you aren't able to block it out, the terrible music will give you a headache. You looked forward to the food being served as it gave you something to do because you weren't able to follow the storyline as every single word uttered by the actors was totally inaudible. Our 2 girls (age 10 and 13) enjoyed 2 parts - the falcon that flies around and the end of the show when the true action starts (jousting, challenges and sword fights). Even though the service was very good and the entire staff was friendly it is not a show we would make a repeat visit to.

This year there were 23 travelers headed to Myrtle Beach and one thing was for certain, we all wanted to go to Medieval Times! For such a large group they were kind enough to give us a discounted rate and make sure we were all seated together. The kids and adults LOVED the food and watching the horses perform. Over all this was a fast two hours with lots of great food and excitement!
