“Gastropub in Myrtle Beach!!”
Reviewed 2 May 2014 via mobile

Worth finding off the beaten path, this place is much nicer than it appears from the outside. Great place for craft beer and a very tasty meal. The service was first rate. Will definitely return!!

“Modern American Cuisine & great craft beer list”
Reviewed 2 May 2014

Fire & Smoke is a well-executed take on the trendy "gastropub" concept, which to me means a more refined take on traditional comfort food-type dishes coupled with a solid selection of craft beers, wines, and cocktails. They deliver good quality food & drink with very friendly, knowledgeable service. One owner is the executive chef, and the other is often behind the bar, and their hands-on management and attention is obvious.

The menu is creative and the food is very well done - the pork belly, crab croquettes, and oyster sliders are particularly good, and the buffalo meatloaf and burger are also excellent. They have a well-curated selection of craft beers on draft and bottled as well as a solid wine list.

A couple of quibbles - some menu items don't offer great value for the money; specifically the charcuterie plate ($15) and the duck confit nachos. I know duck confit is a pricey ingredient, but 6 composed nacho chips for $9 is a tough sell for Myrtle Beach.

“Great food”
Reviewed 2 May 2014 via mobile

The food was amazing. The waitress knew the menu and was great at answering any questions about the items. I had the ribs and smoked Mac and cheese. I came with a big party and we all shared food and everything was great. Make sure you make a reservation because the place is small.

“Craft beers amazing, as was the food that followed”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

Loved this hideaway. Comfortable bar seats for dining, wide array of fine wines and craft beers, with very knowledgeable bartender (Mike). Ordered citrus salad, scallops, crab cakes, and fresh fish of the day. Best flavor was the risotto under the scallops. This is my new fav in MB. All locals and fellow restaurant foodies in the house....
