We had the pleasure of staying at the Marina Inn as part of a Marriott Time Share Presentation Package (painless presentation, respectful salesperson, timeshares were a great deal). The Marina Inn far exceeded our expectations from beautiful (palace like) resort grounds, meticuously cared for, to awesome, friendly service, plush accomodations, amazing view of marina off of balcony, to truly the best meal we have ever eaten at Waterscapes for dinner!! Could not ask for more!

Our stay at the Marina Inn has surpassed any other experience I've had with hotels so far! The price they gave us for a room was a steal! It was 50% off of the advertised price listed on tripadvisor for two nights in the middle of Atlanta Bike Week.

The hotel was very clean, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. Also the grounds were very quiet and serene which was surprising considering all the noise near the beach due to all the bikes.

The pool and heated jacuzzis in the courtyard were uncrowded, and one night we were able to spend an hour in both undisturbed. The restaurants on the grounds also offered a variety of options. Dinner during happy hour was another great money saver--cheap (without skimping on the quality) drinks and nachos for next to nothing. The prices amazed me because the decor, professionalism, and effort put into every aspect of what the hotel had to offer were all top of the line.

We had a lovely stay here at this "oasis" of a hotel in north Myrtle Beach with lovely views of the Intracoastal waterways off the three balconies in our 2 bedroom suite.
The staff treated us like royalty with delicious cookies and lemonade every afternoon in the lobby and the Waterscapes restaurant where we had breakfast was beautiful and the food and staff was pure excellence - especially the bananas foster french toast - to die for ! Freshly squeezed orange juice and the kind of service and hospitality that you just don't find anymore. The heated pool was lovely and sat next to the marina with a handy and also friendly staffed pool bar. The bedding was ultra comfortable and everything was clean and sparkling about the room every day ! What a lovely place to stay - can't wait to stay again soon! Just across from the Dixie Stampede and Carolina Opry - close to everything - but yet very peaceful and very quiet rooms.

This was our second time visiting the Marina Inn in the past two years. Last year we stayed at the Marina Inn as part of a timeshare presentation at the Marriott OceanWatch Villas. We were very interested in purchasing a timeshare. The packages Marriott offers seem awesome, but since they were overbooked they put us up in the Marina Inn.
We fell in love with the Marina Inn at first sight. The hotel is only about two years old and it's beautiful. Our first year we had one of the smaller rooms, this year we upgraded to the room with the full kitchen (deluxe I believe). The bathroom has a glass encased shower with a separate bath tub. The granite counter duel sinks provide ample space for you and your mate. I would have liked to see a better tub (jacuzzi), but I suppose that's available in some of the pricier rooms. The kitchen featured granite counters as well. The fridge is state of the art with an ice dispenser and plenty of storage room. The stove is a flat smooth top stove with 5 burners. The microwave is mounted over top of the stove equipped with your venting intake. The kitchen comes with all of your necessary utensils and cookware. You only have to provide the food.
The bed is a king size bed with high thread count sheets that feel cool to the touch. There was a gas fireplace. There were also two ceiling fans.
The only negatives about the room were the lighting in the kitchen and bathroom and the lack of a flatscreen / hi-def t.v..
The view from our balcony was spendid. We were on the back of the building so we had an overview of the marina as well as the intercoastal waterway. There is a golf course right on the other side of the waterway which adds to the relaxing view.
The only drawback which some may complain of is the lack of proximity to the beach. I was not disappointed by this due to the fact that 1) Myrtle Beach has so much more to offer than just the beach; 2) The Marina Inn provides shuttle service to it's own private section of the beach. The private section of Marina Inn's beach is staffed with a bar that provides beverages and food for a price. They also have beach chairs, umbrellas and towels available. The beach experience was more than satisfactory.
If you are a boater, this is the prefect hotel for you. We rented a car to travel around Myrtle Beach. The Marina Inn is within 20-25 minutes of most major attractions.
The only negative I experienced was during our departure. The doorman was rude as he rushed us to load our automobile. I believe his name was Bill. He stated that we needed to get our car out of the way so the bus, which was not ready to depart, could leave. Our car was off to the side and we only needed to load two bags. I was very displeased with this treatment.

We spent a week here in a two bedroom two bath unit that frankly, we could live in full time. Fully equipped, we had everything we needed -- the in unit washer / dryer was especially nice. There is an indoor pool - small but very lovely -- open 24 hours a day. That was a real treat for my son! The outdoor pool is lovely, with a very clever shallow entrance to the children's pool connected as part of the infinity pool. The intracoastal waterway setting is lovely for both sitting by the pool and sunsets. If you want beach access, it is less than a five minute drive to the private Ocean Club which has designated parking and a walkway to the beach for Marina Inn guests, so we had the best of both worlds -- pool and beach. But what I think really distinguishes the Marina Inn are the people who work there. I cannot say enough nice things about how friendly and welcoming they were, offering to do just about anything you wanted or needed. And I mean from the concierge to the valets to the front desk to maintenance to housekeeping to restaurant staff to managers walking down the hall! Everyone was just terrific and we really want to return to enjoy another relaxing, luxurious week.

Beautiful hotel but not where you might expect. It is located on the intercoastal waterway with a beautiful new marina. It would be a great stop to get off your yacht for a night. If you are looking for a beach hotel, keep looking, it is located about a mile away. Try the Marriott at Grand Dunes, it is part of the same development and sits on the beach.

We have just returned from our vacation. We stayed at the Marina Inn @ Grande Dunes for 6 days. It was just wonderful. Everyone was very friendly.

Accommodation was impeccable. We stayed in the Mediterranean Club Suite with Full Kitchen for $230.88 a night which included valet parking, daily newspaper, breakfast, turn down service @ night with chocolates & bottled water and a daily itinerary to plan our next day. The balcony (which was very private) faced the Intercoastal Waterway so we were able to watch the boats going in & out.

The concierge advised us on places to shop and arranged for tickets to see the Carolina Opry Show and the Dolly Parton Dixie Stampede which were conveniently situated across the street.

The weather was on the cool side but we still walked around the grounds. The hotel has 3 towers so it is a very large hotel.

The restaurant was top notch where we had breakfast daily (a special thank you to Thomas) and a lovely dinner.

The hotel was excellent.
