“The resort looks nice on the outside, however looks can be deceiving.”
Reviewed 11 July 2010

The resort looks nice on the outside and in the lobby, however once you make it to your room you will be disappointed. The rooms are very small, as well as the bathroom. When we first got into our room we found a dirty washcloth in the bathroom on top of the shower curtain railing. On the second day, the maid replaced our four dirty towels with three clean towels (there were four people staying in the room). The sofa which converted to a pull out bed was used by a teenager who stated it was not comfortable and was hard. The hotel is relatively quiet, and the oceanfront view from our room was nice. The pool, lazy river, hottubs and beach access were good. We ate breakfast in the Captain's Cove restaurant taking advantage of the omelette and belgian waffle bars, both were good and the price was reasonable. There was adequate parking provided in the parking garage.

Everything I liked: spacious rooms, comfortable beds, nice kitchen, Loved the washer/dryer in the room, good price, good location, nice beach front, pools, lazy river, hot tubs, ocean front, friendly staff, free breakfast coupons.

Room for improvement: all music, pool bar etc are at the north tower and we stayed in the south. Biggest thing is their isn't a restroom at the pool, you have to go up to the far corner of the 2nd floor, so we opted just to go to our room.

Bottom line: we will stay here again.

We've stayed in Myrtle Beach resorts for summer vacations 3 years running and none of the resorts has been as fantastic as SeaWatch! It is difficult to find an affordable resort that has ALL the amenties we were looking for: several indoor and outdoor pools, several hot tubs, quick access to the beach, full service ice cream shop, gift/convenience shop, a restaurant, kids club and easy access to Myrtle attractions.

SeaWatch exceeded our expectations from the genuinely friendly and helpful customer service to the cleanliness of the resort and pools. We would also be remise not to mention the Activities Team that overseas all kid's activities. The staff was super friendly and very interactive with our kids (5 and 8) so much so that they knew called by name when they saw them throughout the week. Kids enjoyed such activities such as "build-a-buddy," painting their own pillow cases, rubber turtle races in lazy river at noon daily (a SeaWatch tradition), making tie dye shirts, wii bowling competition and much more! They also had something called DJ Splashdown every other day (Tues, Thurs, Sat) where a DJ sets up poolside and spins dance tunes and plays games for kids and adults alike. This was the highlight of the vacation for our kids as they had hula hoop contests, line dancing poolside, "horse" races on someone's shoulders in the pool, the limbo and a lot more. We looked forward to this event each time they offered it!

The pools were clean and well-kempt. The restaurant had decent food albeit the strange times they were open. Breakfast was fairly good with eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, gravy, omelette station and a waffle station. Our kids enjoyed the waffle station especially. Lunch is only 12-2 on the North Tower balcony and then starting back at 3 ordering from the Ice Cream Shop. We also discovered that on the days they have DJ Splashdown, they only servce hamburger and hotdogs. They were not open for dinner as advertised on their website. The Ice Cream Shop was good too serving Edy's icecream on all sorts of cones or in cups and with various types of toppings if desired.

We had the experience of staying in a condo at SeaWatch rented through Condolux so I believe our experience in the condo was different than in the resort rooms. We had the opportunity to stay in a resort room the last night as we extended our stay a night. What we didn't realize before coming was that in the condo rooms you have to provide your own toilet paper, dish sponge, dish soap, dishwasher soap and you are responsible for cleaning towels daily and washing sheets. We stayed in the SeaWatch resort room (non condo) the last night and there was a definite difference as the room was cleaner and had all the amenities listed above. However, the condo experience did not dampen our vacation one bit and we would do it again in a heartbeat!

We have been going to SeaWatch for 9 years now and I have to say that every time we go, we are pleasantly surprised each time. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. The breakfast buffet is always good. The pool area is always clean and they keep the pools immaculate. I would recommend this place for anyone who is traveling with kids. They have a fun pool party in the summer on Tuesday and Thursdays. Tom, the DJ makes it alot of fun for the kids. Jesse at the Tiki Bar has been there ever since we started going and I have to say he is the best bartender I know.

We stayed here for 5 nights June 5-10 2010, we were in the North tower room 1105, the location is perfect for beach lovers. We have 2 kids (8 & 6) this was the first time they had ever seen the ocean, they loved it. There are 2 pools, 4 hot tubs and a lazy river. The lazy river was under repair during our stay which was no big deal for us. The South tower next door has the same layout. Our condo was a 1 bedroom with 2 double beds, a sofa bed and a murphy bed. The room is in need for some updates but was comfortable enough. There is very limited closet space. The kitchen has a stove/oven, fridge, diswasher and microwave also basic utinsels. One thing to remember is toilet paper and paper towels they only supply you with 1 each (we booked through Condo-World) when not booked through Wyndham there is no house keeping daily we had to do laundry to have clean towels etc.. All and all it is a pretty nice place with the perfect location.

Stayed at Seawatch North Tower 5-15-10 til 5-22-10....First of all the Resort lied about ongoing work...They were working on BOTH towers and closed off the Lazy River in the South Tower...The Lazy River was closed off periodically in the North Tower as well...Then the North Tower pool was closed off and drained and no end date in sight...Then one of the Southy Tower pools was closed off for one day....Lots of dust flying around and no end in sight as well.....Beware if your gonna book at this place...

I have stayed here before and the location is great. I booked over a month ago and was not told or was it posted on the web page that there would be a major renovation going on at this time. We had accomodations in the wing that was being renovated. The noise was a constant buzzing from morning till night. The enitre south tower water area was closed except for one pool. The complete complex area was roped off the first three days we stayed. On the last day of our stay the north tower had more open but the south tower was no where near completion. I would never had stayed here and spent money to listen to the construction in this complex. Almost everyone I spoke to was annoyed but I suppose they felt as helpless as I did after driving all the way here and paying upfront. I will file a complaint with the chamber of commerce but I don't think it will make a difference. If you are coming soon please call first and find out about the construction. There is still allot to be done.
