“Incredible value for larger group”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 April 2014

I stayed here with a group of eight on a golfing excursion to Myrtle. We rented 2 x 2 bedroom suites. We have made this trip for years now, always staying in regular sized rooms in "cheaper" hotels. This was a GREAT decision. The cost per person was just about the same as regular hotels and the experience was fantastic. Exceptionally spacious suite with full kitchen, large ocean view balcony, and showers with the best water pressure I have ever experienced in my life (on the 17th floor no less)! The rooms were not "dated", but very well appointed and clean. The location was ideal for the various courses we golfed at. Five star review from everyone in our party.

Am a Diamond member who travels for business and stayed in three other Hilton properties in this last week. Loved the ocean view, but everything else was disappointing. Internet service was spotty. The room decor needed major TLC. There was no shower gel or shower cap in the bathroom, and when we called on day two to get some, we were told they were out! No pencil or notepad. No hotel guest services book. The two cup coffee maker came with one decaf and one caffeinated pod, so we had to arm wrestle for who got what this morning. Had to call for more pods as the room was restocked with one with and one without. Parking is not free, and the Royale Palms building has no one staffing its lobby, so first-timers have no idea where to go to check in. Our request for a shuttle got lost, and we were late for our dinner reservation. Oh, well. Life goes on. Just seems like the resort is on an austerity program.

Room Tip: Ocean view

This is a Hilton Beach Front property as part of a Hotel / Timeshare complex it is in North Myrtle Beach area and the rooms in Royale Palms were quite dated and could do with an update refresh -the breakfast buffet was very poor compared to the way the Hilton representative described this benefit. The rooms were clean and views were great just all feels a little tired and dated.

Room Tip: Sea front and high up

We stayed here for a short weekend to the beach. We were impressed with the size of the room and that the room was very clean. We reserved ocean view and requested if available to be moved upward in the building - which must not have been available. We had a room on the 14th floor which had a view of the top floor of the side of the Hilton. We did have ocean view when you stood on the balcony and looked off to the side. The other complaint I had while there was the bed sheets. They had wrinkles pressed all over them and it felt as if you were sleeping on sandpaper. A good thing about the property was it was quiet. Overall I was a little disappointed but having had not great experiences with the Hilton next door, it was not totally surprising. I will be attending a conference there in the fall and I will definitely pack my own sheets!!! One other thing...the rooms are numbered in a very strange way with multiple rooms with the same numbers but some having letters behind them. That needs to be explained to guests on check in. Also - our balcony was very noisy as we were overlooking the entrance to the Hilton and buses were unloading and loading a lot.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that does not face the side of another building. Need to be on floor 16 or up to rea...

We stayed at the Royal Palms for 15th wedding anniversary. A very nice hotel. I read the reviews and was concerned about some of the rooms. Many people commented they were dated, etc. I mention this concern we checked in and is helping honors members we were placed in a great run. Now I will admit the bedding itself was a little bit dated. Other than that everything in the room itself was very nice. It was spacious and had a fabulous. We were on the 23rd floor. The rest of the hotel itself, it's restaurant, the pools the outdoor area, outdoor bar – everything was beautiful. Service at the outdoor bar and restaurant area was excellent as well. The hotel did offer shuttle to take you around to some of the area places that was really close by. The show only went a few miles it didn't take you whatever you want to go but they had information about that at the front desk. The hotel even pick this up and brought us back to the airport. The time of year we went we encountered mainly business travelers, so it was a quiet visit. I would definitely return. As Hilton honors members we received a full breakfast buffet each day with our stay which was a great bonus.

We stay at the Hilton Royale Palms every time we visit Myrtle Beach. The two bedroom ocean view condo is well furnished, comfortable, quiet and very clean. All of the hotel staff takes pride in their respective jobs and do whatever is necessary to insure that your stay at this property is uncompromised. All facilities are top notch and the breakfast buffet is great. We highly recommend this hotel/condo to anyone looking for a high end facility in the Myrtle Beach area.
