We went to a wedding at the Myrtle Beach Hilton in May 2010. We rented a 3BR Condo in the Royale Palms, which is connected to the main Hilton Hotel. We fit 8 people comfortably. There was 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, and family room with pull-out couch. Since I did the booking, my wife and I got the Master bedroom, which is maginifcent. The bathroom was luxurious, with the jetted tub, beautiful shower, and double sinks. There was a large balcony which was accessible from both the master bedroom and the family room.
Of course, it wasn't cheap, but splitting it between 8 people makes it very reasonable. We also got it a little cheaper because we received the wedding rate. The grounds around the hotel were immaculate. There were 3 pools and several hot tubs, as well as beach access. The water was warmer there in May than it gets in New Jersey mid summer. There was a bar right up a few steps from the main pool. A little pricy, but very convenient. They served food here as well. It was a limited menu, but the food was decent.
If we ever travel to Myrtle Beach in the future, assuming we are with a group, I think it's safe to say that we will try to stay at the Royal Palms. It is one of those hotels that you don't have to leave.More
