It was fortunate that we made a dinner reservation. This is an extremely popular place!! Here's why: 1) the service and staff are impeccable. The gaucho-clad waiters are friendly, efficient and appropriately chatty. They help you get items that have not been offered including, for us, rotisserie pineapple served by using your tongs to grab slices off of the whole pineapple on a skewer. Fabulous! Don't miss it. And sausages that were a bit light on flavor but good.
2) the salad bar is extensive and fresh! The grilled asparagus, a staple at high quality Brazilian BBQ restaurants was wonderful. You will find anything you want and some items you didn't know you wanted.
3)appe"teasers" are brought immediately to the table upon bring seated. They included
tiny, buttery popovers, fried polenta, and sautéed sweet plantains. MmmmMmm good.
4) the extensive choices of skewered meats were hot, rich and plentiful. And they kept coming as long as the green side of your chit was face-up. Some items were a bit fatty and not always as rare as I prefer. Nitpicking. It was mostly awesomely flavorful, quality cuts.
You may wish to resist the desserts. They are extra cost, expensive and commercial grade offerings. The flan had a thick cakey texture rather than the rich, smooth custardy texture we make at home.
Be prepared to spend some serious money. This is not an inexpensive venue at $45 or so per person. This does not include beverages or desserts. Go anyway. It's worth every dollar. But go hungry!! And leave happy !!
