Stayed here for a few nights- Front desk staff very friendly, had a nice business center where they let me make free copies. Easy parking across the street. Room was very clean and very spacious- could easily accommodate a family of 4- also had a little kitchenette. Hotel is RIGHT on the beach and the rates were very reasonable- don't miss out on this one

Welcoming lobby & Bill was incredibly cordial, personable & informative. ALL staff greeted us no matter where we were & ensured we were cared for. Customer service was incredible; if they didn't know the answer, they found out quickly. Room was bright & spacious, not recently redone, but well maintained & comfortable. Full sized fridge was a nice touch. Balcony for oceanview was nearly oceanfront with wonderful views & breezes.
Halls were well lit, free parking immediately across st with overflow garage next to lot & hotel discounted restaurant (which already had decent food at low prices). Walking distance to many restaurants, shops, coffee shop, short drive to attractions. We didn't use the pool facilities but many did. Cabana bar was reasonablly priced.
We were visiting friends, but will be back with the kids for another great stay!

Stayed @ this place over the weekend. Nice sized room with a balcony and small kitchenette. Parking is across the road. The only couple of drawbacks was noisy air conditioning and even on the 6th floor one could hear road noises. The West Wing Partial sea facing is really partial .... the carpets are old and sticky .... overall it is a nice place to stay with family but could be better for the money.

Room was dark and dingy. Being solo female traveler I was uncomfortable with building being without lobby so anyone could walk in from street and have access to rooms. Also free parking advertised was 1 block away and I would not be comfortable walking to and from car in evening. I refused to stay at this hotel and will be requesting reimbursement of the first night's fee that the hotel charged me. Manager told me that was there standard oceanfront room.

We stayed for Easter break at the Dayton House. We stayed 8 nights in an angle view. We had a great view of the ocean and the street. I debated when booking but the room worked out great. I liked being able to see both views. I would recommend this type of room especially if you would like to save a little money and still see the ocean. The room was a good size, plenty of room for 2 adults and 1 nine year old. The beds were comfortable, of course it could have been more cushiony but not the Marriott, and didn't want to pay Marriott prices. The pools were very nice, enjoyed the the infinity pool, just beautiful. The yella umbrellas were a very nice touch, especially the lawn. Since it was cool we did swim also in the half in/half out pool. I would like to see some pool work done on that pool, some of the side looks somewhat rusty. I can't wait to go back. Room 745 a good room.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Dayton House in Myrtle Beach. After researching hotels in the area using Trip Advisor, I chose the Dayton House because of the positive reviews. Upon arrival, we checked in and went our room, of which the door was open. The front desk agent explained that the locks get stuck sometimes and the repair was simple. Instead of repairing the defective lock he downgraded our room from a king to two queens. When entering our downgraded room, the door would not function and an front desk agent helped us and made sure all was well in the room. After he left, we discovered: a dead bug in the refrigerator, hair on one of the beds, hair on the towels, a malfunctioning toilet, flat pillows, a lumpy, non supportive mattress and a noisy air conditioner which did a horrible job of cooling the room. By the way the front desk agent explained that the envelope on the dresser was a tip envelope for housekeeping - unsure of why this was in the room. When checking out a young lady apologized for the issues. Unfortunatley, this will be the last time that we stay at the Dayton House Resort.

Been there many times and always enjoy the full experience. It has been almost 50yrs of enjoying the hospitality of the family of owners at this super vacation spot. They always remember us and treat us just like family. This spot is perfectly located, has ample parking, and clean rooms plus a fantastic setting right on the ocean. prices are reasonable. Will continue to go there.

Room Tip: All are great
