I can't say enough about how great this place was! We haven't been to the beach in 7 years, mainly b/c I can't stand the beach, or so I thought. Captains Quarters has all of the ammenities, and activities, so that there is never a dull moment. It is within walking distance of pretty much everything , and has great security. Check-in / check-out was so fast and easy. We had a very clean room, and we were never greeted by a staff member that was rude. We have paid a fortune for rooms b/f and they have been dirty, and we were treated rudely by the staff. If you are looking for an affordable, good time, this is the place. Not sure why all of these comments say the pictures are misleading, it looked to me exactly like everything I had looked up online. We left as a happy family with some great memories made. Thank u Captains Quarters , for making our vacation so awesome, and I am looking forward to booking again real soon!

This was a very good place for my family of 3 to stay. Very close to the beach and other activities. We loved that it had multiple pools including indoor ones to choose from so we could still have fun when it was raining outside. This was also close to the boardwalk and broadway on the beach so driving wasn't too crazy.
I agree the rooms could use some updating but for the overall price you couldn't beat it. We knew going into this that it wasn't a 5 star resort so we weren't expecting all.
Would recommend to a friend and come back.

This hotel is not bad by any means--we had an excellent time here BUT the pictures online make you think the rooms are a whole lot nicer than they actually are. The beds were clean and when I go to the beach, especially for this price, thats what I care about.The bathroom is small. Our room was ocean front and we were on the 4th floor. We had a good view of the ocean and the pool underneath us. My 2 year old LOVED the pirate ship! There were ice machines everywhere but the only one on the first floor worked--that was inconvenient. Yes the elevators are slow--most places they are and they were confused. I would get on and it would say going down and take me all over the place. :) The paint was cracked out on the balcony, but the view from the balcony was nice--the paint was an eyesore. The food outside by the pool was good and priced good too. I was surprised at that. The beach was clean but super crowded because of the public beach access right next to the hotel. The pool area was loud at night--pool doesn't close until 11--so you would hear loud music and people screaming/talking. This didn't bother me but some it may. Overall it was worth the money--my little family had a great time!

The room, bowling alley, and 9th floor restaurant did not look like the pictures on the website. They were clean but the website was misleading. We did like the kiddie pool with the ship in it. The 9th floor restaurant buffet was not worth $9.95. 1/3 of the TV channels were snowy. So the times we were in the room we had selective channels to watch. The location was good and the staff was friendly. Loco Geko restaurant was good.

The Resort itself is nice. The staff on the other hand is horrible. There are maybe 4 employees of the 20 we came into contact with that actually do their job. The Hotel is overrun with children of all ages with no adults to be found. The amenities are in needing of some upgrades such as the gym equipment. Staff shouldn't complain of funding to guest. 6 years we have visited the Resort and the new staff has ruined our opinion of what was a wonderful vacation spot for our family.

Room Tip: The stay was comfortable. But we didn't stay in the old rooms. We always stay in the angled King...

This our second trip to Myrtle Beach. But our first stay at this hotel. We took our family to this hotel for our vacation. We were very pleased with the staff, which was very helpful and friendly. Especially at check in.The hotel itself is kept very clean, but is starting to show a little wear. The rooms were a little smaller that we thought from the photos. The restaurant on the 9th floor serves a good buffet. There staff is very friendly and very attentive.Overall the beds were comfy, and the stay was good. We will look at this hotel again on future stays.

We arrived earlier than the check-in time, received 2 upgrades without asking!!! Greeted by the most friendliest staff ever!!! There was never a single time that we didn't pass a staff member in the hallway that they didn't speak or ask us how our stay has been so far, this is AWESOME!!! We have recommended this place to everyone we know!!! Multiple activities & things to do for the kids, right on the beach, next door to the Loco Gecko (which is excellent) Pools were great,lotsa laughs & fun on Level 6, friendly staff on Level 9 (great coffee too) no complaints at all!!!!! Thank you for a wonderful time!!!!!!!

Room Tip: Book the early bird specials!!!! Ocean view is the best!!!
