The hotel was well maintained the staff was very helpful. We spent a lot of time in the pools both indoor and out. They were best suited for children between 5 and 12. There is a dedicated teen pool, but it didn't offer much in the way of slides for kids over the age of 10 or so. Our children are younger and the facilities worked perfectly for them. The indoor pool area can get crowded pretty easily, but compared to what is charged at Great Wolf or another indoor water park, its a good deal. We didn't use any of the on site restaurants. We brought some of our own food for breakfast and lunches to keep costs down. The room was equipped with a stove/oven, microwave and a full size fridge. The stove had seen better days, but was able to boil water for oatmeal. You could see that the room had been recently remodled and was in pretty good shape. Our room had a bad odor in one spot (puke) and the cleaning lady took care of it the next morning. The view was over the pool and the beach and was very nice. The blinds closed tightly, so we didn't have to wake up at the first light.

We'd stay here again and I'd recommend it to people with children, but is not something I'd give 5 stars. I knock it down for its location. There really isn't anything else within walking distance.

Room Tip: I'd stay off the second floor. People were int the pool until late in the evening. The 2nd flo...

Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We are glad that you enjoyed so much of what we have to offer. We are situated in a quieter part of town, surrounded by a lot of residences, which makes for a safe, peaceful vacation. We are on a bus route, and we are a short driving distance to anything you may want to do or see. Our beaches remain less crowded than most throughout the summer because of where we are located.

We look forward to seeing you again for another family get away. Hopefully soon. THanks again for sharing your experience!

My family stayed in the delux 3 bedroom corner condo with another family. 8 of us all together. Our children range in age from 13 to 4. Each child and adult had the most wonderful first trip to Myrtle Beach. We all felt that the accommodations, ammenities, and location were excellent. They surpassed our expectations. We would definitely return!! We highly recommend

I was overwhelmed with choices of hotels having never stayed at myrtle beach. We picked the DVR because of the indoor water features and April weather is unpredictable. Everything was perfect. The room was a 2 extra large double beds with a direct view of the ocean. Stunning view! I had concerns if the beds were going to be big enough and they were surprisingly large. The kitchen was terrific and not as crammed as the picture of the room appeared we used it for breakfast and lunch most days. They had all the pans bowls utensils and even brought me up a blender upon request, got to have smoothies on the beach. The pools were great and warm as some days were not quite ocean swimming days. The location for us was great I decided I was happy to be a little drive away from the boardwalk we found the crowd to be a little rough for our children. Plenty of restaurants nearby and broadway at the beach was 5 min away. I highly recommend DVR hope this review helps you in your decision. Charlie J

Stayed in a 3 bedroom, 2 bath angle ocean front (621) for 4 nights in last week of April with 4 people in the condo. Had a great stay. The condo was very spacious and well decorated. The angle view was ok, but straight on ocean front is best. The condo had everything you need to prepare meals in the nice kitchen. Check in was very easy and fast. Valet service available if you want it. Only $12 a day. Worth it because parking is across street. Best elevator system in Myrtle. 4 elevators available in one area. Never had to wait more than 30 seconds to catch one. Whole resort was well maintained and very clean. Condos are basically sound proof. I never once heard another person around us. Modern flat panel TV's in every room with DVD players. Master bath had a jacuzzi tub which was a nice treat. Starbucks in lobby was added treat. The restaurant was decent too. Pool bar made getting a cold drink quick and staff was very friendly and hard working. Pool and lawn areas are super, especially if you have small kids. Lots of activities to keep them busy. Ours are grown so we stayed down on the sand all day, each day. The area has transitioned from the rental umbrellas to these half clam style tent shades. Much better than umbrellas. Cost was $35 a day, but very well worth it when you want a break frmo the sun. We loved our stay here so much we are considering buying a condo for rental property and personal use when we want it. Great jogging/walking areas around here too. I recommend everyone give this place a try.

Room Tip: Get into North Tower (Palmetto). If you get and angle, ask for lowest number. For example, 6XX. XX...

We stayed at the Dunes Village for our annual April break trip to Myrtle Beach. This is our third year booking a resort and this was by far the best we have stayed at so far. The rooms were very spacious and clean and up to date. Getting to the beach and pool areas was very convenient and quick. There were lots of options available for things to do. The parking was across the street which was a little inconvenient, however it was very well secured, very clean and free. We had teenagers with us so they didn't do many of the activities but they made use of the pools and had a great time. Definitely worth the extra money.

Room Tip: We were on the 12th floor of the 1st tower. It seemed that all the rooms were quick and convenient...

The Dunes Village is a destination spot in Myrtle Beach. The resort has indoor; outdoor; and, ocean swimming experiences steps from your door. The children's varied swimming activities make for hours of swim fun regardless of the weather. The dining/beverage opportunities are good and on sight
We love being here with our grandchildren-- they have a great time.

We have been at this resort three times now. It is a great place to stay for kids. There is plenty to keep them busy. The resort has a lot of fun activities for the kids to participate in during the day. Our kids have so much fun in the pools, waterslides, and lazy rivers we never get to the activities because they don't want to get out of the water!! We brought more family this year with us. We had plenty of room with a 2 bedroom, 4 queen beds, and the couch in the living room pulls out as a bed. Everything was clean. It always is. I highly recommend this resort!!
