Had a great 8 day stay here a few weeks ago. This hotel has such a great staff I keep coming back. Frank DeGrazzio in valet is always there to greet us. Front desk people in the Palms are so friendly and efficient. I love to come back here because it feels like home. Mike Groce at the tiki bar still makes the best margaritas on the east coast. It’s so great to have such a beautiful beach and amenities this hotel has to offer can’t wait to get back.

This is a very outdated resort that has some new paint and curtains slapped on. Think a cleaner Motel 6 with fancier bedding and curtains. The furniture is worn and old, carpet is sad and musty.
The water park and pool facilities are pretty basic and crowded. The beach is quite beautiful.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating, constantly cleaning at the pool areas.
Food is good and tiki bar is fun. But if you are looking for luxury this is not your place. If you just want a basic hotel to sleep and enjoy the beach this is your place.
I feel like the facilities are as clean and they can be considering the dated rooms.
The beds are actually quite nice and comfy and has failrly good bedding.
While I would not book this resort again, my kids did have fun and I don’t think I got a hepatitis.

Our family stayed in the 4 bedroom deluxe condo. The room was spacious and the deck was large. Our family had a wonderful time. The master bedroom had a king size bed, a floor to ceiling window view of the ocean, and a large bathroom. The other 3 rooms had two queen size beds in each and their own bathrooms. 2 of the other 3 rooms had balcony access and 1 had it’s own private balcony. We loved our room. The kitchen was spacious and the table could seat 10. We never had to worry about running out of towels or toilet paper as the staff made sure that we had plenty each day. We had 12 people in this room and we never felt cramped. We loved everyone having their own bathrooms. Everyone in our group commented on how this was the best place we had stayed. The main deck was large with 6 chairs. The breakfast buffet is good but gets crowded if you don’t get there by about 7:30 each morning. The water slides were lots of fun and the resort was beautifully well kept. We will definitely be returning again next year!

Even though renovations are greatly needed we will continue to stay at Dunes Village. The staff is definitely customer friendly and always make us feel welcome. I highly recommend the buffet breakfast also. Parking is good and convenient; much more spacious than other places in Myrtle Beach.
